atari70s
I hopen it up to do some cleaning and dusting and i noticed 2 things attached to my metal box one is a green lable ( like a price tag thing reading 1185 2) which is odd maybe a code enough and in hand writting 1977 on a piece of paper ( the type that some calculators print using ) saying 99 35600002. # this might be somethign for Curt to look over anyone want to call him over. but just odd and figured it might be interesting

mos6507
In the early days there were a lot of defective units. They did a lot of testing on the assembly line and these could have been some units that had trouble or otherwise needed inspection notes on them. Ze_ro
I've opened both my six-switch (one heavy, one light), and both of them had "notes" taped to the metal box as well. Since they're both closed up at the moment, and I don't feel like opening them again, I can't say what was written on the paper. I don't remember it being anything that would make any sense to us though (ie, just a bunch of numbers) --Zero

videotwit
Almost every VCS I've opened in the past had a note like this on it (either hand written or typed). I don't think it's too rare.
