Curt Vendel
Open it up and read the README, you'll need an Alpine to run this CES Demo... Curt ces_demo.zip

Creekree
could you please tell us what this demo is all about? i dont have an alpine and i think i will never own one, but still i am curious.... or is it a secret only devrs may share??? creekree
Stone
Been around for ages, but not in ROM form. http://justclaws.atari.org/devcats/protos/atari/ Stone
Creekree
ah yes, i see... so since it´s a ROM image that would mean that it should be possible to make a cart from it? what about encryption? creekree
Stone
ah yes, i see...so since it´s a ROM image that would mean that it should be possible to make a cart from it? what about encryption? creekree Stick the universal validation header on it and it'd work...what's your point? It's just a demo. Stone
Alex Czarnowski
Hi Stone, You don't need dev system just to run demo if you have it on cart. As a side note: by using universal header you can upload it to the flash cart - no need to build a new cart Cheers
Creekree
yeah it´s just a demo... but using a socketed cybermorph cart with EEPROMS is no big deal either and cheaper and easier to obtain than a flash cart. if i want to see it just for curiousities sake then why not this way? Stone
Not worth gutting a Cybermorph for, IMO... But hey, curiosity knows no bounds, do as you like Stone
Alex Czarnowski
Hi Stone I agree - I would prefer Cybermorph still on cart than this demo but as you said - everyone should do what they like. Cheers
lotek_style
Well the emulators don't run it..... is it an official one from Atari?
Orion_
I added an universal cart header, and padded the rom to 2M (so the emulator will accept it) runs fine on Virtual Jaguar CES_DEMO.zip Edited March 12, 2016 by Orion_
lotek_style
Thanks Orion_ !!!
lotek_style
So does anyone know if it's an official Atari production and for which CES this was done?
rayik
Thanks Orion. This is a really rough demo. Couple of 3d buildings and floating / rotating blocks with pictures. Good for a skunk board. Probably not for eproms.
lotek_style
The question still is if this was released at Winter CES or Summer CES... I guess 1994... would be nice to track down the release-date this way.
Songbird
The original file was dated January 1, 1994, however the readme is dated July 1994. It could have been shown at both shows that year.
