memorymoog Posted August 30, 2001 Share Posted August 30, 2001 When i first got my atari 2600, the screen began to periodically fuzz out or black out. I thought the problem was the adapter, because when i shook the adapter, the screen colours (even though there was no video game picture) would change. Ive just got a new adapter, and was excited that it was working, until the screen warped and went black again. From time to time the game would work again, but eventually my old adapter didnt work at all. Does anyone know what the problem could be? should i just get a new consol? May be the RF modulator or your TIA chip / surrounding circuitry etc. Couldn't say without seeing the screen and / or testing the Atari.
