karnov
The 2600 101 section entitled KERNAL CLINK code for "a moving dot" is not assembling in DASM, returning the error: line 85 movedot.src Premature EOF I don't see a typing error, is the code misprinted somehow? I'm a beginner, and I can't seem to debug my source file. Does anyone have any suggestions or help? Thanks
kisrael
Huh- I'm pretty sure I compiled all the code there at least once (don't have my main dev machine up and working)...are you sure you're downloading and/or cutting and pasting correctly? HermChase
I actually recompiled all that stuff today (browsing through again) and it worked fine for me. (Note: On a Mac) --------- Chase Hermsen

Thomas Jentzsch
How does line 85 look in your code?
karnov
Line 85 is the last line of the code the blank line after: .word Start If I go and delete some blank lines out of the code , it always says the error is on the line after the last line of code. -side note- The first program "My First Program" worked fine, but the 2nd and 3rd will not work for me. I haven't tried the last one yet. By the way, thanks to all you guys responding!
karnov
Maybe it is my version of Virtual VCS. The programs are working fine in CyberSTELLA. Oh well, they work now, even though I still get theerror messages when I assemble. Thanks everyone.
