The hero
Thats not exactly what I am looking for. I'm looking for wav files to implement in my desktop theme. Not to create a cartridge.
AtariDude
I found a few sites that have sounds that you could use. With most, you can right click on them and then use the same as command to save the file onto your computer. Here are the links: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Arcad...351/sounds.html http://www.atari-history.com/sounds/Sounds.htm http://www.vamprella.com/atari/atari.html I hope these help! If you are looking to create a new desktop, I recommend the following site as well: http://www.atari.org/services/toys.php You will find some Atari 2600 icons, Atari ST icons, and a nice wallpaper image saying "Atari Forever" which looks similar to the clouds image used in Windoze..umm...Windows 95 but the Microsoft Image is replaced with the Atari Fuji image. Plus there are other items as well. Enjoy and by the way, Have you played Atari today?
NE146
I'm almost ashamed to admit this but if you're desperate, you could do it the cheapo way I've always done it: by simply running an emulator and Windows Sound recorder at the same time, and then holding your computer's mic over to the speaker. Of course, Windows Sound recorder also has limited wav editing abilities to trim the sound to what you want. Obviously it aint the best, but it sure was quick and easy.. The way I figure it, 2600 sounds aren't exactly high fidelity anyway
