berzerk
This is one thing I know very little about. Never seen one in real life and never played any supercharger games. Is it worth getting one for fun? and the collection Was it an atari authorized production? or just something a company made without their blessing? any info would be cool thanks

Ze_ro
The Supercharger is an amazing thing. I bought one of these just because I thought it was so cool. The games for it are very well done, and are often fairly deep and have great graphics. Unfortunately, it's more inconvienent than just a cartridge, and I don't end up using it much. Try playing some of the games before you decide to buy it though (The roms aren't available on this page, but if you look hard enough, you'll find them somewhere) The Cuttle Cart is a better product (at least, from what I've heard), but it's about 5 times the price (I got my Supercharger for $20) As for it being authorized... I'm not sure this was at all necessary. Back in the 80's, there was nothing stopping you from making your own Atari games. Other than giving some royalties to Atari, you didn't have to get permission, or any encryption key or anything like that. If Atari disagreed with Starpath, they probably would have sued them. --Zero --Zero
Marco(2)
If you're a player and a collector, be sure to hunt for the two Brazilian superchargers: the Comp-K7 and Canal-3. Both have a very big library of games, including lots of well-known Atari and Activision hits, on tape! Cheers, Marco
