HERO, level 36

After level 20, the game cycles you through levels 13-20 over and over again, until you reach 999999 and then finally "!!!!!!", after which the game stops.

Hey Tempest maybe thats how atari age came up to your little icon after 1000 posts. they simply just think you a pro and desided you would keep racking up starts so the infident 6 !'s like in HERO

Ive only made it to level twelve. when do the tentacles appear? does anything new come up besides rafts and tentacles?

who here can boast that theyve been further in H.E.R.O. than anyone else? what number do the levels go up to?

Wow! I think I made it to 26 once (It just says Pro after awhile). That's awesome.

I suppose I should chip in my 2 cents here.

 

After HOURS of practice out of boredom, I did make it to level 36 one time. Seriously.

I've made it to level 19. That's starting at level 1 (game 1). I have made it past 20 by starting on game 5, which I think is level 20, right? And then it just cycles through previous levels at random, including level 1!

 

I've yet to see the "PRO" thingy though and I don't think I'd get 1 million points if I played that game forever. I think my highest score has been 140,000 or so.

No flaming NE146, but you'll have to take the accomplishment and NONE of the glory. You're right, its not the same thing as toiling for hours and dying on level 16, over and over. HERO is a great game, but very tough. In the end, however, you got to see "PRO," which is what you set out to do.

Well I'll probably be flamed a new one for posting this, but after reading the above, I had to go ahead and give H.E.R.O a try and sure enough, I finished that level 20! How? Playing on PCAE and using Save States! Woohoo! There's nothing like saving a game every couple of steps to insure you go through a level perfectly..

 

Allright, so it's not the same as playing the real thing.. and not to mention quite frankly, it's cheating.

 

But heck I wanted to see that "PRO"
