bjk7382
Once a column is complete (ie, flashing square moves up playing a small tune), it cannot change back. There are also small pyrimid shaped "enemies" that will complete an entire column when jumped on.

Goochman
At the beginning of the week who'd have thought Schmutzpuppe would be in 3rd place with his 165K score!
Shannon
If you colorize a row it stays permanently colored. Keep that in mind when developing your strategy. Do you mean that a horizontal row stays permanent, or a column (as seen going into the screen) stays permanent? I seem to remember from playing last night that if you complete a column, then you see a colored square flash over the whole column. I also thought that the badies discolored tiles, even if a row was complete... could be wrong. Thanks for the hints, I still only got about 7700... I suck! Yeah your right. I always get the two mixed up. That would be a column.

Cybernoid
Well, it is not a HIGH score, but I had fun trying... I had fun playing this game 20 years ago, I still enjoy it! 43402 - My first try at the HSC!

emkay
@Cybernoid For getting a better score, you have tor try optimizing the Bonus-Rounds. With every thousand points you gain one life more. So I made very much mistakes in the Bonus-Rounds, I would say my score easily can be beaten with ~ 20000 points more.
Shannon
211, 927... The game actually ends at some point, so it's gonna be tough to get much higher scores. I nearly freaked out when it said "winner".

Goochman
205K and I wont even be in the Top 3 I wont have time to play this again to break my current score - bummed, but glad we all broke this game open - No need to go back and play this for another 15 years

bjk7382
I have already given up on trying to top these 200k+ scores.
Shannon
I have already given up on trying to top these 200k+ scores. Hehe.. The key is the bonus round. Problem is, lose your concentration just a bit and POW end of round. The later levels are hard with the xbox pad cause it dont do diagonals well. bjk7382
I have already given up on trying to top these 200k+ scores. Hehe.. The key is the bonus round. I can get 4000-5000 every bonus round, but then when I get to the next level I get put on the board in a bad place and killed instanly. This games randomness on the levels pisses me off. I think the bonus levels are the only good part of this game. What are you guys getting on the bonus rounds?
Goochman
I averaged about 4K - I usually would only lose 2 - 3 lives a board, but on 1 board I lost like 10 men - Then I had to play really cautiously and made it to lvl 19 (didnt realize 20 was the max ) - but anyhow Im happy with my score. Goochman
Folks, Im heading out of town soon so I wont be able to close out this week - Ive got a feeling I wont see any new blockbuster score but if something comes in I wont be able to update it until Monday. Also, Read the HSC12 Shamus post and get going - The point standings are not updated in that post but will be once I get back. Good luck! Shannon
I usually get 3000-4000 in the bonus rounds. I'm much better at the rainbow part.
