It's an atari stock certificate that was issued to jack tramiel for i believe it was 100,000 shares. stock link

atari70s
Hey dont want to be a damper on this but i must ask is it LEGAL to own a stock slip like taht from someone else. ( especially if the owner of the item ( jack trammel ) might still be alive?
AtariDude
I don't think the legality is an issue. Atari was de-listed off the stock exchange because the value of their stock dropped below $1. Therefore the stock has no real value and that might explain why Mr. Tramiel might have given it up. The only real value would be one for a collector or someone who is a fan of Atari. I was hoping to bid on it but the cost the last time I checked is about $80 and that is more than I would like to pay.
Ze_ro
One of these was on eBay just a while ago... of course, it wasn't Jack's shares, so I doubt it went for as much as this is going for. It's kinda neat, but it's not worth $80 in my opinion. Oh well, if the rest of you guys are spending this much on pieces of paper, that leaves more Chase the Chuckwagon carts for me --Zero
