+johnnywc
I was cataloging my collection yesterday (finally) and updating my rarity codes from the Atari Age web site. To my suprise there was no entry for the above label variation for Football. The question is: have I stumbled upon a rare find or is this just an oversight? Thanks,

+johnnywc
That's the one I got. Is it rare? Probably not...
Joel D. Park
I dunno, I don't even know where I got mine.. Maybe Canada. Canada sometimes has funny label variation and stuff.
Alex
There's a huge amount of label variations that we do not cover. It depends on where you draw the line. There are cartridges where the "c" for copyright is slightly more curved for example. Currently, different color text variations generally falls in a category we do not cover. If many people want to see something included, we'll do so, so if you want it included, try to make a case for it and get people to agree with you. This site exists for the public, and we try to make inclusions based on general consensus. I would also suggest looking at Matt Reichert's Giant List of Label Variations, which does include minute variations and text color variations. +johnnywc
Thanks Alex for the info. I was more or less asking because other color text label variations were listed (i.e. Atari's Bowling, which has a red and a blue text label). Anyway - I hope I didn't come off being ungrateful for your efforts - this site is fantastic and I really appreciate the resource you and your friends provide for the Atari community! atari70s
i got one like that i doubt its any rarer than a green text. just the color they had at the time. like how i got Blue and Red text for the games Bowling and Sky diver. or with street racer i got orange and yellow. Now maybe if i saw a Yellow COMBAT 01 label or a red Basic Math 61 cart that might be interesting
Alex
Not at all. We appreciate any kind of feedback. Some label variations have made it in even though we don't really include them as a whole. It would probably less confusing, for the very reason you cited, if we remove things like the bowling color variation. I know the same thing has happened with copyright variations - we have a few, but by no means all or even most of them.
