moycon
Hello, I was looking for info on the unreleased games Sega announced back in the 80's. I can remember being about 13 when I read about them in a magazine and then *poof* never heard anything else. I found a few sites in my search that were really cool!! Although ultimately got me no-where. I figured I'd share em with you, The first is a cool site with lots of foreign oddities: Game Reset This is a list of the games Sega announced: Scroll down to Atari 2600 Heres a site that LOOKS like it has info, except A.) They have the company listed as Activision??? and B.) I cant read it. Can anyone translate? Spanish? Anyways. I thought these sites were cool. But does anyone know of ANY information about these games?
moycon
Haha Cool Ben!!! Thanks! Heres what that Portuguese site had to say about Friday the 13th ( I don't think they did their homework, unless they were reviewing some pirated copy of the game) FRIDAY 13 System: Atari 2600 Producer: Activision One of the first games of terror for Atari fulfilled with the basic objective of any film of the sort: to leave you in a climate of constant panic. You it is a young that has to find the children spread for the some corridors of an abandoned house before the terrible Decollator can separate its heads of its bodies. The maximum point goes here for sonorous, responsible track mostly of the generated panic. Ok. So they got the title and the producer wrong... The summary a pretty good one for Halloween tho. Might be worth it to find an Atari 2600 site in Portugal and translate all the Atari manuals. Hilarious!! The Night Phantom
To tie up some loose ends... The Brazilian page about Halloween%20alias%20Friday%2013%20doesn't%20have%20anything%20to%20do%20with%20Sega,%20really.%20%20It's%20part%20of%20a%20collection of pages describing various horror-themed video games, and Sega systems are among the platforms covered. Halloween originated from Wizard Video. So, I suspect Moycon won't find anything new about Sega from the Brazilian site, though the search apparently reaped some sort of entertainment value. This topic does bring up one question I've been wondering about: was there any VCS distribution in Portugal? Information and links are welcome.
