dark-aleph
The more people vote, the better this list gets - so here goes! 1. Adventure - I play game 3 most nights before going to bed. If I win without resetting, tomorrow will be a good day! 2. H.E.R.O 3. Raiders of the Lost Ark 4. Beamrider - I agree that this game is underrated; probably because of its late release. 5. Crystal Castles 6. Frogs and Flies 7. Maze Craze 8. Kaboom! 9. Solaris - I'll put it higher when I finally beat the damn thing! 10. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
phaxda
A list: 1. Seaquest--it's always been my favorite game & I'm surprised it doesn't have a #1 vote yet. 2. Yar's Revenge--love this game 3. Adventures of Tron--this is just nostalgia talking; it's one of the 1st games I ever played. 4. Warlords--WAY too much fun at a party 5. River Raid--great game 6. H.E.R.O.--I am a recent onvert to this masterpiece 7. Missile Command--more nostalgia 8. Ice Hockey--something about this game just cracks me up. It's very Zen. 9. Crackpots--just one more... 10. Super Breakout--practice for Warlords. Homebrews: 1) Fall Down 2) Go Fish!
+Nathan Strum
Question... can I go back and change my list? I've since picked up some games that have changed what my favorites are (plus, I didn't necessarily have that list in order before).
vdub_bobby
Question... can I go back and change my list? I've since picked up some games that have changed what my favorites are (plus, I didn't necessarily have that list in order before). No! Set in stone! No soup for you! Nah, go ahead. EDIT: On a related note, if anyone does go back and edit your original list, it won't be reflected in the scoring unless you let me know somehow. I.e., by making a new post that says: "Hey, I edited my original list." EDIT II: Also, while the standard game rankings are pretty robust at this point, the homebrews (and hacks and SC games) have very few votes in general. More votes for favorite homebrews would be cool. Edited March 31, 2006 by vdub_bobby

vdub_bobby
Question... can I go back and change my list? I've since picked up some games that have changed what my favorites are (plus, I didn't necessarily have that list in order before). So...are you gonna update your list or what? Demon AttackPhoenix The general format here is to provide ranked lists of your top-ten cartridge (non-homebrew) games, your top-five supercharger games, and your top-five homebrew games; generally only ranking the games/categories you are familiar with. So, unless you say different, I'll just interpret your list as #1 Demon Attack and #2 Phoenix.

vdub_bobby
A few notes: Pac-Man is currently 66th (tied with River Raid II ) with 10 points. Three people have voted for it. Phasor Patrol is 7th on the list of SC games; you're the only person that voted for it. Star Fire is in a completely different category (homebrews), as is Starmaster (original carts). vdub_bobby
Just a note for folks who don't want to read the first post or the whole thread: You can vote for up to 10 original carts, up to 5 Supercharger games, and up to 5 homebrews. All votes are treated as ranked lists*; if you vote for more than the specified number of games (i.e., 10 homebrews) the extras just won't be counted - if you vote for fewer that's fine as well. *Whether you rank them or not - if you provide an unranked list, I will treat it as ranked from top to bottom in the order that it is listed in the post. Make sense? Edited April 12, 2006 by vdub_bobby
shadow460
All Starpath titles are on my list, even Killer Satellites. All of the protos might be of interest to most, but the actual games are indeed must haves, as is the Meteoroid proto. Aside from that, here's a few more: Pitfall II Yars' Revenge Indy 500 Subterranea Moonsweeper Astroblast Space Attack (M Network) Adventure Warlords Kaboom! And for the list, here are the Starpath titles, my votes are listed before the titles: (3) Phaser Patrol Communist Mutants From Space (Commie Mutants) Fireball Suicide Mission (Meteoroid was the proto here) (1) Escape From the Mindmaster (started as Labyrinth, and my favorite 2600 title) (4) Dragonstomper Killer Satellites (5) Rabbit Transit The Official Frogger by Sega Party Mix (2) Sword of Saros Survival Island More regular carts: Winter Games Robot Tank River Raid E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (this is not flamebait, BTW) The Empire Strikes Back Jedi Arena Ram It Bridge Megamania Edited April 13, 2006 by shadow460
