Fretwobbler
I was reading the instruction manual in a German game - Phantom Panzer (Tank) and noticed some spelling mistakes in the English (I dont mean to insult our German friends for the poor translation, heck I can hardly speak English myself and besides, they make better cars than us) . What amazes me though is that the translater can come up with a sentance like this - "another twenty enemies are coveting the base one again" - now thats quite good use of English, coveting - i like that word. But then come up with the most simple of spelling errors like - "The number on the buttom of the screen" I found that one funny. and... "this is a real test of your courage and preserverance" maybe they were just typo's but youd think a Sofware House would proof read any documentation before publishing. Anybody got any other examples of Atariesque spelling errors? Adam

Ze_ro
At least they spelled the name of the game correctly... I've seen some pirate games that couldn't even get that right And of course, there's always Ploe Position... --Zero [ 12-10-2001: Message edited by: Ze_ro ]
Mindfield
"All your base are belong to us!" Oh ... sorry. Wrong console...

Tempest
I've always liked Pimball. The only spelling mistakes I know of on US releases are Ploe Position and Pole Positn. Tempest
