Rick C
I need your help! I purchased a Sears Video Arcade II from a estate sale for $50. My unit pictured here! It came with everything including 44 games, but No Power Supply! I desperately need to know what voltage/mA ect. power supply it requires. I am afraid to just plug one in and see if it works. I fear I may burn the unit up. If you can help me I would be very grateful! Thanks for your time, Rick
Lemmi
doesnt it have the voltage listed on the bottom of the unit somewhere? but i would think it has the same voltage as a regular atari 2600 system just asking cause i dont have one of my own to look at [ 12-14-2001: Message edited by: Lemmi ]
Rick C
Nope it's not on the unit anywhere I have all these games in front of me....and I am going crazy. I hope someone out there can help! Thanks Again, Rick
Ze_ro
I imagine it's the same as the Atari: 9V, 500mA, center tip positive. The Atari was always pretty flexible with voltages though. --Zero
Lemmi
Just plug in a standard atari 2600 power supply Input: 120VAC 60Hz Output: 9VDC 500mA Polarity: Center +, Outer - i got this from the 2600 FAQ's page
Rick C
I just got an e-mail that said: 10VAC, 750mA and other power supplies will safely run this console Atari 5200 Atari Jaguar SMS / Genesis TurboGrafx-16 I don't have any to try. I just need to go buy one from radio shack. If someone has one of these consoles please hook me up with some specs. So I can be sure Thanks for all the info. liveinabin
All 2600 (and sears variants) actually use 5v, they have a 9v PSU and a little widget just inside the casing knocks it down to 5. If you can get a psu where the plug fits, is more than 7v but not quite enough to kill a rhino then you'll be fine.
