King Atari
Probably my best find in the wild was a an original numbered "11 Indy 500", in excellent condition. I couldn't believe a game released in 1977 survived in that condition for all these years. I found a "Crash Dive" once, but that game was so awful I had to trade it. Cassidy Nolen
Nice find! Thats how I felt about the gatefolds I found in their boxes a few weeks back. It amazes me when I find "in the wild" cared for as well as I care for things. Its not like anyone ever thought these would be worth anything. StanJr
wait a minute. 11 Indy 500 is rare? I thought it was like a 3 or something here on AA?? They have one of those at the shop where I get my games. Its been there a while... Am I missing something? Stan
Atari-Jess
well a little bit more rare cause remember Stan, the numbered games are the original run of the games being that this was before Atari realized that the VCS was gonna be a super smash popular hit. ubersaurus
My best wild find is still Pitfall 2. I got in a bulk pack from my mom's friend. that and about 30 other games for 25 bucks, as well as a working 2600, which i needed. Only 3 games were ones I didn't have though, Dodge Em, Atlantis were the other two.
King Atari
Listen to this haul: The people across the street were moving out, and had a GIGANTIC pile of stuff on the curve (curb?). Now, I'm not a trash digger, but if you saw the amazing pile of stuff, you couldn't help but take a look. Here's what I went away with: 2 2600's, 4 switch woodgrain (dead), Darth Vader model (working, still works today), about 20 games, all work except "Air Sea Battle", a "Zaxxon" table arcade, an electronic head-to-head baseball game, Entex's "Pac-Man 2", the Vectrex 3D mask, and 3 Vectrex games. AND IT WAS ALL FOR FREE! My best haul for sure.
StanJr
WOW! I'm going to go but it today. It will go with my 61 Basic Math! Cool! Learn something everyday, Stan
Nateo
The rarest thing I found in the wild was a Sears version of Missle Command. There are no good places to find Atari games in Buffalo and Rochester! I AM MAD!
Thelen
well my great found was on a flea market 2 weeks ago a atari 2600 jr. with 10 games with X-man (not such great game but thought i'd never find it) for $5 TheleN
King Atari
Listen to this haul: 3 working 2600's (2 6-switch, 1 4-switch), a working 7800, a box LOADED with controllers and such, and about 30 games, all working.
