Eckhard Stolberg
Some days ago jahfish mentioned that Arte is going to have another report on him and the convention in Frankfurt in the Tracks show. I checked their website, and the topic listing for tonight's show mentions "Atari Freaks". So, if you can receive Arte, you might want to tune in tonight (friday) at 19.00 cet. Thomas Jentzsch
Thanks for the info! But I'm afraid, with 4 other stories in 40 minutes, the Atari part won't be much longer than the Polylux-Version.
jahfish
i hate the girl that is moderating polylux, and so does christian the cameraman. so as tracks is his regular show he's working on, it should be a little more detailed and better .... that's what he told me. he's been to london until yesterday, so i haven't been able to preview the show ..... i'm quite nervous to see myself on TV in less than one hour .... just been on the phone with John (thejpc) and christian from tracks .... hehe, he called me to say the show is on tonight. so i got the message faster over here than from it's source. great, another special award for atariage.com fastest atarian newschannel of the world congratulations to al and alex
Eckhard Stolberg
That's probably why you mentioned the AtariAge website in the show. I hope we don't get another slashdot kind of experience now when all the Arte viewers come rushing here. BTW jahfish, now that all the flea-market vendors know your face and how much you are willing to pay for Atari games, are you going to give up collecting for a while, or have you already prepared a clever disguise? Albert
We got email from someone this morning saying they saw AtariAge on "Tracks". Since we're not in Germany, we were unable to view this personally. Can someone describe what this show is about and if it exists in some form that we could view on the net? A translation would be nice also, since I don't know German. Thanks!! ..Al
ren.dhark
Maybe Fish can describe it best, since this was the Jah Fish show at German Television Günther

jahfish
ok, here's the story ... it was a show about atari-freaks, first of all and about the love for antique videogames ... it starts in my home while i was just moving into my new flat. you see me putting up my new shelves and installing my items ... in between i show single items to the camera, for example binders with brasilian carts, porn games and their locked cases, all the various boxed consoles from 6switches from various contries up to the junior and clones ... then we're turning up in frankfurt, at the meeting last year. some people answer some questions, show some items, then we're off to diner: you can see marc oberhäuser, marco kerstens, frank & alex (organisers of the meeting), john christovassilis with wife and kid and me doing the atarian hadshake with rholoff de jeu. also i mention atariage.com and curt vendel's site as top informative sites for collectors .... and i admit that i'm here on a daily basis ... fish, the old addict i'm glad my girlfriend wasn't watching, because they didn't cut out the part where i tell how much i spend every month you also see me taking loads of cash, from a guy that bought my repro/copystation and many more items ... i think i should give him a big "thank you" from me and also from john, marc, marco, lenno and he others. i think i can speak for the others too, as this guy left at least 150-200$ on every table. i will be getting a VHS or DV tape of both shows, so there will be soon a VCD i can send to some of you guys ... greetings
