(PLEASE READ) Six Switch Atari 2600

I just bought a six switch woodgrain atari vcs. I was wondering how rare these are. I am not too smart about the whole rarity thing on the systems. But I was just wondering.

I'd say its slightly rarer than combat.

Pretty common, I have picked up three in my area-- One for only $3.00

 

I also managed to find a Heavy Sixer (Sunnyvale 6 Switch) in the box, and everything else in their boxes (Joysticks, bower supply, paddle--Inside the main box) for only $15

 

There are countless sites on the Internet where you can buy 6-Switch Atari's for $40. Which include everything and usually some games.

If this is the second release, then its not so rare. But if this is the Heavy Sixer (first release) this one is Rare.

 

But I don't know it how Rare. The second release is not so heavy, only plastic.

 

I have only the second release. But I have a very Rare Black Jr. Maybe this one is a bit Rarer then the Heavy Sixer.

Ataris of any kind are an unusual thing amongst collectibles, in that they're STILL great, very collectible, the height of cool but yet STILL almost totally worthless

 

Thats the way it should be. We don't want Atari games to go the way of Star Wars figures.

So, in answer to your question - it aint rare, it's worth pretty little monetarily, but its the gateway to a whole world of fun
