berzerk
Wondering if anyone knows of a website that has more of a detailed history of Imagic company. Maybe some pictures of the people or buildings too. but mainly more of a history and details of their demise. thanks.
Osmeroid
Not very good for pics but a good interview with Bill Grub and Dennis Koble chatting about the beginnings of Imagic. www.atarihq.com/othersec/library/imagic.html I was looking for Imagic stuff yesterday, try in Google>Computers and type "Imagic" Enjoy
liveinabin
Ah yeah, I meant to ask a question about Imagic.. I dont own (and have never played) any Imagic Games. I love Activision to bits but Imagic seems to have passed me by. So, yeah, I'd love to know about them too, and what games are worth getting
Lemmi
Of the few Imagic games i have i love riddle of the Sphinx and Dragon fire, also i have to mention Demon Attack
Osmeroid
I've quite a few, Riddle of the Sphinx is pretty good and so is Dragonfire. I think though my favourites here are Wing War & Subterannea. Honourable mentions to Moonsweeper & Quick Step. Trick Shot is the only 2600 pool game I can remember seeing. I think it was the shiny-silver box finish that made them so appealing.
Osmeroid
Does anyone know what the objective is in Sky Patrol?
StanJr
Trick Shot rules! Dragonfire and Riddle of the Sphinx are my 2 favs from Imagic, but also good is Atlantis. Demon Attack is pretty good, but I have a hard time reconciling it with Phoenix (which I played first.) Most Imagic games are winners (much like Activision), but stay away from Firefighter. Scooterb23
Stan Stan Stan!!! How in the world can you dis the mighty Fire Fighter??? It is a great game!! Trying to put out the fires, and then having to raise the ladder to just the right floor to save the victim. And the timer just adds to gthe tension, because you are always trying to beat your best time. It is a lot like Dragster IMO. This game is still one of my top 10 favorite games. It never gets old. StanJr
yeah, I just never got into it and I like US Games Towering Inferno better. But this just goes to show that Imagic has something for everyone! Diplomatic Stan
The Night Phantom
My Imagic faves are Demon Attack and Star Voyager. Demon Attack seems fairly popular, but I think Star Voyager's reception tends to be mixed. The game is a Star Raiders clone of sorts that retains the first-person starship battle elements and eschews the “map strategy” component of its predecessor. There is some strategy, however, and the graphics are pleasing and appropriately futuristic.
Albert
I haven't played most of Imagic's later games very thoroughly, but I did enjoy several of their earlier offerings. Here's a complete list of Imagic's games. I suggest getting all the common Imagic games first, and then working on the later games. Fortunately, most of the Imagic library is relatively easy to get your hands on. ..Al
moycon
Looking thru the list I forgot how many great games they put out... I'll admit I was never fond of the cases tho. Two worth mentioning are Fathom.... A little difficult to get the hang of the controls but it was such a good looking game. Quick Step: Reminds me of a hyper Qbert clone. liveinabin
Wow, I've been missing out! I shall rectify my Imagic-starved status asap
