Private Messages on Old Server

Update: All messages from your "Savedbox" on the old forum have been imported into a "Saved (phpBB)" folder in the new forum. Attachments from these messages were not converted, though, so you may want to still retrieve them from the old board if you had any important attachments you want saved (this only applies to the "Savedbox"--attachments from your Inbox were imported properly before).

 

If you have any questions or any problems, please don't hesitate to ask.

I have imported all the "Savedbox" messages from the phpBB forum into the "Saved (phpBB)" folder in your private messages here. If anyone notices any problems, please let me know and I'll try to correct them. It imported my saved messages without any problems, but I can't really go and look at others' inboxes to see if it worked properly for everyone (although it should have).

It's permanent, in such that we will not be deleting them. It acts as a user-created folder, which you can manage yourself. You can click on the "Edit Storage Folders" link in the control panel to edit your storage folders (you can create up to three).

You're welcome--I wish I had known that the stock phpBB->IPB convertor didn't pull in the "Savedbox" or I would have taken care of this beforehand. Hopefully now my conversion work is finally done!

I just found a new problem, this one's extremely serious:

I added a new PM folder, and my "Saved (phpBB) PMs" folder and all its contents disappeared!

Okay, the problem with the "Saved (phpBB)" folder disappearing should now be fixed. If anyone notices anything weird, please let me know. This private message business is going to to drive me insane. At this point it is too risky for me to keep writing scripts to import additional PMs, so I am not going to do any further work in this area. If you are missing any messages, please send me a PM and I will give you access to the old phpBB forum where you can login and look at your old PM folders.
