I sent the person an email explaining that if it is in fact a PAL cart and the winner recieves it and finds out its not what the desciption promised, that person might get a tad upset.

You'd like to think the person just doesnt know... But its more likely they just want to get more $$$$

if you will pay 500 for that, then you have a real big problem

You're right, I probably insulted them. I just sent another email offering $750 and my David Crane bologna sandwich I got back in 82. Now they're sure to say yes.

@ Junie

Yes, the NTSC version is only avaible as Prototype, but the PAL version is sold in germany and other countrys. And this was no Prototype.

See too here on AtariAge:

Klax PAL

And I think the most Prototypes have no box and look not like a release game.

And most the P sticker mean PAL version too.

@ moycon

I mean it not so, you pay to much for it if you pay it. This is no Prototype.

How do you know this?

Has the seller tell you that it work on NTSC consoles? Some games work fine. Jah Fish has found it out as he has sell PAL Obelix to US collectors. Some game maybe work fine.

The P sticker tell me that this is PAL. So if you want it, you can buy it for a cheaper price then 500 or 750 or something like over 100.

But if you will ruin yourself do it.

Either way I dead laughing when I saw the P sticker-- Come on after all it means "P"rototype

Perhaps I am just getting really tired

Moycon how can you tell it's NTSC and not PAL? Either way this thing has my attention -- I don't have any money so you won't have to worry about bids from me

The URL you posted from Atari Age stating this cart was a Proto was the NTSC version is what I was saying. The PAL version has a rarity of 4...Not very rare. I wouldn't pay $7.50 for that thing.

I understand, that better now.

Any bids? (Payment in cash, cheques and Bologna only)

How many pounds of Bologna will you trade it for? Do you prefer deli bologna?

P is Prototype? Wow! I have a ton of prototypes I never knew about. They must be broken though, they all roll on my TV. Damn bit-rot!

Seriously though, it ticks me off when I see crap like this. People who have been around awhile know that a P sticker on the back of a cart is obviously PAL, but a newbie might now know. I can't believe the seller is that big an idiot that he knows enough about Klax only being a prototype in NTSC, yet not enough that P is for PAL and prototypes don't come in boxes with production labels (well not normally, there have been one or two exceptions...)

Here's a real Klax prototype for ya all: http://www.msu.edu/user/reicher6/prototype...protos/klax.htm

I commonly e-mail and complain to auctioneers (Auction Sellers) who use the words RARE and Very RARE in the title and descriptions to describe games like Pac-man.

Nice link, never seen a PCB like that or ever heard of SARA RAM. To bad the last game Atari made for the 2600 was a Prototype, it would be a great additional to any collection to have the last game made by Atari. At least the link says it's the last game they made, is this correct?

They look like pirated games, or perhaps were simply produced by a small company. It's hard to say, perhaps someone with more experince will say something.

@ Rinsky

yes, they are not so rare. In germany you often get games like these. But in ebay.com they are not so often, but I would say they are coummon

@ Junie

I think it was the last game from the companie Atari, but not the last game from all games. Other companies have release later games. The last game in the moment is QB Special Edition a homebrew game release last weeks.
