moycon
Some things are not ment to be explained... Like Bigfoot, Chupacabra,... And now this.
maximebeauvais
yeah, I saw this one too. This is a X-File or a very big hoax from the buyer with a 0 feedback
MattyXB
No Hoax if you see this tread: Topic: Bob Polaro selling Atari 2600 Protos on eBay? and this: Topic: Bugs Bunny Prototype Fake Lable and others But what you say about this Prototype on ebay: @@Atari 2600 MEGAMANIA PROTOTYPE Loaner@@ A Activision Megamania Prototype in a Pitfall Activision Prototype Case. Joel D. Park
The more I look at it the more odd it gets, It's not actually even a loaner cartridge, it's just a funny black label with atari on it. The tennis label it pleanty dirty to match it's age. Maybe the atari guys snagged a copy of activision tennis for their own "Market Research" or something. eh? MattyXB
In the web I have found many oddities. Some examples: Chopper Command (Activision) in a Lab Loaner Atari case, stand nothing on the white Lable. And the Label was on the Buttom ober the Return info. Demon Attack (Imagic) in a Lab Loaner Atari Case. Looks totally real and stand Demon Attack EPROM Cartridge on the White Lable.
jahfish
i just realised i'm highest bidder on it ... hehe but it has a reserve price that i surely will not meet .... i am happy with one prototype from each company .... and i allready have a sega, atari and data age proto ... anybody got something else for me? MattyXB
But this tennis is maybe no real Activision Prototype. Activision Prototypes look like this Megamania (or Pitfall ?). Red Lable and small sticker with the gamename. Or PAL Activision with white big text Activision Prototype. I have 2 Atari Loaner (1 PAL, 1 NTSC), 1 Atari Board PAL, 1 Activision (soon 2, 1 PAL, 1 NTSC), 1 Best Electronic PAL. 1 Hozer Copy NTSC and 1 Goliath PAL ?. san-d-2000
Joel, does that m-network card have an eprom inside (does it feel heavy), or is it just a pre-release? -San. [ 02-27-2002: Message edited by: san-d-2000 ]

Maybe someone had a bunch of those cart cases that were either liberated from Atari (or Atari dumped them?), who knows...
