Lemmi
Well the 70% is a ton better then using just pure water, which is what i was using for along time untill i wised up just dry it off good and dont clean the contacts constantly and you will be fine

ATARIPITBULL
The regular Alcohol works just fine. If you were going to us 99% on your games you better not be smoking!!!.

Atari Master
I just dry it off with the other side os the Q Tip.Anyway, were can I buy 99% alcohol. Also, why not use 70%? [ 03-05-2002: Message edited by: Atari Master ]
Doc4
I use 70% and don't dry it off, Alcohol dries pretty fast anyway. I don't really see what the difference is. Water on the other hand takes something like half an hour to evaporate in normal conditions, while that alcohol, 70%, will evaporate in something like two minutes. Supposing you spilled a pile of it. You could also just blow on it and it will evaporate fast. It's just my opinion. I have always used 70% to clean off electronics and have had no problems. Doc4
of course, the alcohol I injest is normally 80% and doesn't appear to evaporate from my stomach very fast. Something about electronics having fast metabolism, they reject fat cells. I started using light alcohol on my games just to be sure. Lemmi
Good points there Monster G yeah the alcohol evaporates really quickly, i use the 99% only because thats what ive had in the house for many years (so i didnt have to go out and look for any), i just dry it off anyway cause when i do i see a tiny bit of dirt still on the Q-tip and once i clean the game its pretty much good for years untill the game needs cleaning again
Ian Primus
The Target here carries 90%, but I normally use 70%. It doesn't really matter which you use, but the 70% is cheaper. Ian Primus ian_primus@yahoo.com
