What to look for in Garage Sail listings?

Basically you just have to hit as many sales as you can and hope to get lucky. I have never seen a vintage system listed in a garage sale ad in all my years of sales.

If it lists electronics or video games, be assured you will have competition getting to those sales, so get at it early!!!!

I find the best thing to do with the listings is make a little map, and find out where there's a whole cluster of sales in one area.. that way you're not wasting your time in a place with few sales.

Also, it helps to know the age of the subdivision.. houses built in the mid 60's - mid 70's are a goldmine for Atari stuff, whereas houses built from the mid 70's - mid 80's usually yield a lot of NES stuff.

Don't bother going to areas where the houses are only 5 years old or so.. all you'll ever find is baby clothes.. tho one time I got lucky and snagged a SMS.

The key to garage sales is definately location, location, location. Same with thrifts too.
