Looks like you're missing P.I.T.S., but you'll need deep pockets for that, and especially if it's complete.

There are also two released versions of Loopz -- B&C's unlicensed release and Carl's official one -- and the Duranik "bonus" card.

Relief Pitcher is coming, but hasn't been released yet.

Also: I don't know anyone who has working carts of Dungeon Slayers, GeoDuel, or Vindicators. Lode Runner is currently only playable as a demo. We're not going to see Pounce completed and/or released, and I don't think that Carl would be interested in releasing an "in-process" version of UltraVore.

Finally, I think we can keep Metal Mutant on the "finished games" list -- it's my hope that another binary will turn up.

Hello.. it has been a long time since I've been on here... I've been able to lurk from time to time, but not too often. Military appears to have this site filtered now (because it relates to games)... and I have no connection at the house anymore. Tie that all in with being away for so long, and well... I'm back. lol

But... on the most part I wanted to say hello.

My collection has been slowly decreasing. I mainly kept a portion of my Lynx stuff (I got rid of MOST of the trade stuff I had). I also kept my 2600 stuff and my Vectrex. Everything else (aside from the modern stuff...) I've sold or traded away. It sucks... but it had to be done at the time.

As it stands... I really screwed up my Atari Lynx collection. Why? Lack of organization (I didn't have my colection typed up in a database anywhere... so I REALLY didn't know exactly what was what). Because of that... I ended up selling 10 games that belonged in my PERSONAL collection... all because I THOUGHT I had loose items. Some of the stuff I sold... I KNEW I had a loose copy (Battle Zone 2000, Lemmings, etc. But then I sold stuff like my Super Asteroids and Missile Command. Crap. LOL

So as it stands... out of the 117 titles listed in the rarity guide, I have 63 in my collection. That leaves me still needing 54 games for my collection. Right now I am MAINLY interested in getting the commercially released stuff first. Then I'll tackle the more expensive part and get all of the other stuff that has been released aftermarket.

My question to some of you all... where is a complete database???? Someone here mentioned P.I.T.S is a game... I never heard of it. What other games exist out there that ARE NOT on AtariAge's website. And... well... why aren't they on there?

I was looking through a Telegames catalog... and saw The Gaurdian. Any news on that game? Also speaking of Telegames... were European Soccer Challenge and Super Off-Road 'commercially' released games? Were they ever placed on the shelf for sale? Thanks....

Someone here mentioned P.I.T.S is a game... I never heard of it.

It's not a game, but an 'exam trainer' for the german driving license test. It shows you a picture of a traffic situation with a question which you have to answer. It was developed for German driving schools. Needless to say, it's a very hard to find release which comes in a suitcase with a console, instruction manuals and the cartridge. Average price of it is somewhere between EUR 100,- and EUR 150,-

If you need more info search the forums. There are some threads about it...

Develpoment of Guardians: Storm Over Doria was ceased at about 30% complete unfortunatly and didn't even have gameplay.

Super Off Road and Euro Soccer Challenge were both comercially released games. I bought them both in Game here in the U.K. Both great games too. S.O.R is a perfect conversion of the arcade. Euro Soccer was also known as Manchester United Europe on the ST, Amiga and P.C and as European Club Soccer on the Megadrive/Genesis. Its an excellent footy game with superb graphics.

Mr Kizza, what you said about Super Off Road

I haven't played SOR myself, but from what I've heard is it a bad game,

the collision detection is awful, powerups have no effect, etc

That is why I never bought this game

So I am surprised that you say that it is a perfect conversion of the arcade :)

Unless the arcade version sucked too, i wouldn't call Super Off-road an arcade-perfect conversion.

Just like Isgoed says, the game is extremely bad (i have it in my collection and maybe played it twice or so). There are much better versions of this game for other consoles...

Sounds like you are around the same stage as me - my plan was to get all the commercial stuff 1st then the homebrews, but I just couldnt wait! If you havent got it get Alpine Games by Duranik man, this has got to be the one of the best games released on the lynx http://www.duranik.com/

I agree an accurate database of all lynx and jaguar games is needed and needs to be updated with new releases/prototypes (i'm interested in anything thats on cart and that I can reasonably get my hands on) BTW that atariage rarity guide has a few games listed more than once as theres different cartridge styles for them..so unless you wana collect all cartridge styles of all games (!!)....

Yeah... I am looking to collect all CART styles for each of the commercially released games as well. Like right now, I have all three types of Chips Challenge. So when I complete that list... I'll start really hammering in on the homebrew and prototype (reroductions that is) stuff. There are a few of the aftermarket stuff that i do want though... so I may get that before I get a chance to get, say a flat cart of such and such. If I already have the game in one form, I'll be happy for now... but in time I want them all.

Anyone remember off hand how big the manuals are? I know the majority of them were about post card sized. A few were folded posters, and a few were much bigger. I decided to keep what manuals I have in good condition and saw a few card collecting bags that were big enough to hold post cards. I wonder if that will work. I have the Atari Large Cases, but decided to buy a few baseball card plastic cases (they snap shut) to hold my carts in place a little better.

I do recall the driving simulator thing... I simply forgot all about it though. Thank you for letting me know what that was again. 100-150 EUR? What's that in USD? $200 or so?

I was looking to get a copy of the Euro Soccer Challenge. I heard it was pretty good...

I'll be back... gotta go eat now.

Check one of the European eBay sites for this title; it pops up around once or twice a year, although that's often just a bare cart. It took me two years to find P.I.T.S., and that was after a board member kindly sold me one of his units. It's definitely worth the money, though, as it's a very strange item. Make sure that you get the clear plastic "briefcase" when you buy this! :)

I may take you up on that... but got to clear a few things first.... Check your PM though

Anything need to be corrected???

916565

Well, there are a some non-existing games in your "atfermarket" list you have to take away :P

One game you can ADD is TNT Terry. I remember someone sold a copy of this "proto" here on Atariage a few years ago.

Also the early Songbird games exists both on green and black PCBs.

Non-existing? Well... I went off of the list on Atari Age. As you can see... I just included Prototypes as well. I know there are a lot of REPRO Prototypes out there... but I basically want to know every game that is on a physical cart. One that I can play in my LYNX....

Are there any commercially released games in my 'aftermarket' section?

The above have all given commercial releases. Some of the other carts you mentioned are available as pirate carts, and I believe that a few pirate copies of "Lode Runner" were burned many years ago. Good luck finding them, though!

And everyone still seems to be forgetting "P.I.T.S." and "PokerMania".

916870

I think you'd have to classify Krazy Ace as a "commercial" release, in the sense that it was released when Atari was still alive (IIRC) and Telegames printed real Lynx boxes for it. Not sure if the cart itself was ever made by Atari, because I've only seen EPROM carts in the Krazy Ace boxes I've come across.

I know it's on your list above, but I didn't see CM2: Buried Treasure in the AA section, nor did I see the CGE 5th Anniversary cart I made a couple years ago. And I suppose I should give Al some screen caps from the Beyond Games proto of CyberVirus, which to my knowledge is the only one in existence... :D

916598

Not only that, but I (Songbird) actually had two flavors of green PCBs, because the original run (SFX, Ponx, etc.) worked fine but the PCB dimensions were off a tiny amount. So when we did a 2nd run of green PCBs, we fixed the dimensions. Then we finally transitioned to the black PCB which is definitely the best version we've done yet.

 • 2 years later...

Hello to everyone! :) I've just bought a copy of Desert Strike by Telegames fully boxed and complete with manual and the Telegames brochure but its cart style is the green pcb 2 and not curved lip. It's definitively a genuine green pcb (has the number "9913" printed on it). Do you know of the existence of Desert Strike on green pcb 2? I was really surprised and I really don't know if it could value more or less than the curved lip version.

p.s. Along with Desert Strike, I've bought a copy of Super Off Road either complete with box, manual and brochure and it uses a strange cartridge style not mentioned at:

Atari Lynx Cartdridge Styles

which is similar (but not identical) to green pcb 1 but in which the eprom is covered by a plastic cover both on the eprom and the solder side. What do you think of this? I'm rather certain it's genuine too but I don't know if I've found a real bargain or not...
