Powersupply for the atair 2600

Hi,

 

(oh god hopefully my english is so good, to explain to you, what i mean).

I have lost the powersupply (?) of my Atari 2600.

Where can I get a new one?!

Which country are you from? What kind of power do you use there?

No matter what you use, the Atari original was a 9V 500ma supply with a 1/8 inch center positive tip.

 

I have somehow acquired a German one recently, looks wierd but has the same output. Most electronics shops sell them cheap. Radio Shack is expensive, so you may want to check on line at www.mcmelectronics.com

If he's not from the US, then he won't find much use for a US power supply from Radio Shack, will he? Of course the output is the same everywhere, but the plugs and input are all different. That's what I was trying to say in my post

he just needs to know that he's got to get a 3,5mm cinch-plug at the end of 9V unit (500mA minimum), no matter if the main unit plugs into 110V or 220V ....
