How many of you ya-hoo's are going to attend? Give us a shout-out! Anybody got any plans for the after party? I think maybe Cassidy said something about D&B? Other thoughts about Philly? I should be pretty easy to spot as I will be wearing spiffy AtariAge t-shirts, assuming they arrive in time (I should get them on Wednesday). I will have a table, from where I will have some tradebait, some of Billy Eno's carts to sell, and Joe Grand will be selling his PhillyClassic SCSIcide there as well. Nothing fancy, I really haven't had time to do much preparation (read: almost none, except order some shirts for myself!!) I really don't know how much time I'll be sitting at my table anyway, as this will be my first PhillyClassic and I have a lot of people I need to talk to and meet. I'm all for going to D&B after the show! Anyone here who is attending can drop me a line ( albert@atariage.com ) and I'll send you my cell phone number. Cassidy Nolen Posted April 23, 2002 Share Posted April 23, 2002 Well, D&B was and idea I tossed out there a few months back. Nicole and I went last year after the show, and were amazed by the place. It was too crowded to eat there, so we ate next door and went back to play. Its about a 15 minute car ride from this years location, best I can figure. As for me, I will be there with a table and a bunch of arcades for sale. I am trying to bring (of course, this is if I can get them all loaded up): Breakout, Jungle King, Missile Command, and a Special of the day: Mortal Kombat. Others that are not for sale: Pac Man, Star Wars cockpit, Computer Space and Wild Western. I will have a number of 2600 goodies for sale, systems in the boxes, and a bunch of boxed and loose carts. Did I mention I have a game called POLO for sale Friday! Looking forward to seeing you all there, I will be the dude worried sick about scratches on Computer Space. (15months) How much will SCSIcide cost? I already plan on buying a Sean Kelly 5200 multicart & Protector SE. I wonder if I should just sell my car (or Nate?) and get it over with already. As for D&B -- Dave & Buster's? If so, my wife & I visited the Nyack Dave & Buster's once a couple of years ago. It looked neat, but the hostess was so rude, arrogant and offensive we left before we were ever seated. Other than that, I've never been, and have strong feelings to not give them any of my money. I'm going to be helping Curt Vendel set up his booth and help out with setup in general. I'll be the tall red headed guy with the Tempest 2084 badge. I'll have some prototypes out on display and for playing. I'll have all my protos with me htough, so if someone wants to see something specific just ask. I'll also have a small pile of trade bait. bergbros Posted April 24, 2002 Share Posted April 24, 2002 Since I live 20 minutes from the Valley Forge COnvention center, it is pretty easy for me to attend. I will sport a bergbros name tag. BTW, don't go to Dave and Busters for dinner. The food is absolutely awful. Just go for the games. For food, try South Street or Chestnut Street between Front and Fourth. Plus, if yer already there for the games, why not just grab some grub there as well. Fear not, I'll be filling up on the cheesesteaks as well!
