Atari freak 1
I heard that the black vader model's picture was worse then the woodgrain. Is this true?
Eduardo
Well,um, that's not completely accurate. As they say: "your mileage may vary" I own both Woodgrain and Vader models and I can't see such a big difference in display quality, things like a broken RF switchbox, loose connections, a damaged video output cable can bring distorsion and interference in your display. I agree that 7800 consoles show a fuzzy display even if you use new connectors but the Vader model can give you a decent display.
StanJr
Gotta agree on with E on this one. I've got both and the only reason my all black gives me a poor picture is because the wire that goes to the RF is loose. Used to work much better before that got loose. Noble Kale
I have a few of each (woodgrains, vaders & jr's)... all show a pretty good picture. What the picture most depends on is an individual system - whether it's been trashed by the previous owner is a big factor.
ATARIPITBULL
I have five 2600 systems my self and they all have about the same picture as far as I can tell.
smile_walle
Not always worse than woodgrain, but have you check at: http://www.atariage.com/howto/connect.html To get better and clear picture of any Atari 2600 (Darth Vander, woodgrain and Jr.) Jason
