iguana
I hit about 20 or so garage sales this weekend (a big street sale) I did not find any atari there but I asked the sellers about it and to my horror 4 people said they had there atari stuff and tons of games but would not be selling them. I asked if they collected or still played them thinking i had found a kindered spirit, but they said no they just wanted to hang on to them to sell for more money down the road! those Bastards don't they know I have better things to do than search through there junk for treasure! (well I really do not have better things to do, but they do not know that!) do you guys find this happening?
ATARIPITBULL
You should have asked them to name some of the games they have, then you could have told them that those are easy to get, so they should sell you all the Atari items they have for $20, and thats only because you feel sorry for them. Atarian7
Most games might be worth a lot less down the road than they are now except for the rarest games and sealed games. THere might only be a core group of people who still collect and play 20 years from now. IF that happens then all the common to semi-rare carts will have no monetary value because the core collectors will already have about 10 copies of each already. The games and equipment are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Right now there is a pretty good classic gaming market and it's relatively easy to sell or buy stuff on auction sites.
