tbfinley2
If Atari was trying to revive their system with these. Why didn't they make them to fit better in the older consoles? I see the one I have was made in China. Im assuming they used an original case to form a mold. Which would cause the new ones to be slightly larger? Im I on track with this thinking or I have a totally missed the real reason. web page
dwh
Sounds like a new mold was made, thus making the carts slightly larger;or they were so cheap that they just 'retouched'/polished/ground-down the old molds, once again making the carts bigger.China has been making crappy molded parts since the early 80's.Companies are bringing their molds back to the USA from China to try to fix them nowdays; They saved/made a bunch of money going overseas and now they are paying big bucks to fix their mistake.Of course, the politicians that 'endorse' trade with China never 'lost' any money,as people lost jobs... ATARIPITBULL
That sounds kind of weird, I have five 2600 systems and I have used four of them with just about all my games and have yet to find any problem with cartridges fitting.
