Ze_ro
Well, it looks great, but the annoying effects in that video make it a lot harder to tell... --Zero

Though the game looks (keyword, looks) decent, that video was the most irritating thing I've ever seen. As soon as that annoying floating window gets to where you want it, ZIP, it goes away. SteveW
It looks kind of interesting. I'll be all over this one when it comes out!
MegaManFan
I wonder if he'll make a Ms. Space Frenzy too. Anyway, the promo clip looks good. I'll buy one!
bjk7382
The graphics look a lot like the arcade of similar name. Space Fury And if it plays anything like the arcade, we will be in for a good game. (minus the color vectors and most likely voice)
Jess Ragan
Screw this, someone release a Vectrex version of Geometry Wars! (Of course, the sheer intensity of that game would probably cause the average Vectrex to burst into flames after five minutes...) JR

gulag picture radio
Nice looking video. I agree that the editing and the transitions (hello Matrox! )do make it hard to really take in the vectrex graphics. Still, I can see that this is going to be a really solid game, especially with the addition of speech! I'm a sucker for that! I won't say that this video is the worst thing I've ever seen... instead I'll say that I really admire what the editor is going for. Nice to show a retro game in a modern setting in a sort of modern looking ad. Just keep the gameplay visuals on the screen a bit longer, and we're all set. Nice music choice too. Richard H.
I wonder if Vib Ribbon could be ported to the Vectrex? Alex Herbert was thinking about doing it (probably after he'd finished Sinistar)

Fellow Atari Man
Not that I have anything against Dondzila or anything--I've got two of his cartridges so far, and I'll be getting more in the future, including this one--but I was a little disappointed to find out what this one was, due to how big Gravitrex was, with the regular and arcade modes, the re-write of Patriots included, etc., and especially with how many games there are on Vecmania and Vectopia. This one doesn't seem real "big", you know? Granted, it's probably has more than one game, as per usual, unless it's just Space Fury with several variations (like with Gravitrex). It's probably still a good game though, as per Dondzila usual, but I was just expecting more. (Guess I'll have to wait for the reviews.) moycon
Did anyone else think this was gonna be the Vectrex version of Frenzy when they first saw title?? LOL

Fellow Atari Man
Did anyone else think this was gonna be the Vectrex version of Frenzy when they first saw title?? 1023570 (laughs) Did YOU? I didn't, but the name did make me twinge a bit. But if it *was* a Frenzy game, I'm sure it would've blown away the dull Berzerk port. Is the preview gone?! I can't find it. 1024157 Yeah, but I'm sure once it's day of release hits Dondzila will have pics up in the video's place, or maybe both. BTW--and I hate to ask--what's this Vib Ribbon game that was mentioned earlier? That's a new one to me.
Jess Ragan
Are there any other new Vectrex games in the pipe? I'd love to design a few Vex titles of my own... I have dreams of porting my 2600 release Solar Plexus to the Vectrex, and calling it S.P.I.V. (Solar Plexus In Vertical). Sadly, the C++ programming language available for the system is so intimidating that I don't even know where to begin! If only some kind soul would create a BASIC compiler for the Vectrex... Here is a Vib Ribbon fanpage. I haven't played the game myself, but it looks and sounds intriguing.
Fellow Atari Man
Are there any other new Vectrex games in the pipe? I'd love to design a few Vex titles of my own... 1025184 Dunno about any other ones being worked on, but in regards to the latter, I think it'd be interesting if the first ever RPG were to come out for the Vectrex (not sure if Dark Tower counts). After all, there were quite a few decent RPG's that came out for various personal computers and all that were only 64K in the early 80s, which has been the biggest Vectrex homebrew to date, and could be doable, I'd think. mojo, thanks for the link, I'll be sure and check that out Edited February 27, 2006 by Fellow Atari Man
