I have to say Klax by default, I have never played the Atari 8-bit version of Donkey Kong. My apologies if I should not have cast a vote due to that but I have a feeling it would be Klax anyways. It's so damn addicting and I have played many other versions of DK. If this disqualifies me please remove my vote, Thanks.

Klax for me as well. It's weird, all the posts mention Klax but the vote is pretty close right now. Where are all those closet 8bit DK fans???

Great port, certainly the best for its' era. Klax is good also, although I've only played it via emulation, to me its still only Klax, and not very exciting to begin with.

Klax... yeh, I have both versions (DK & Klax)... a platformer against a puzzle game? Hardly a level comparison.

 

All you Klax lovers, honestly I never really understood why they bothered to put the programming time, chip components, and plastic into Klax. So please, what am I missing on Klax? What do I need to understand to enjoy this game? What do you enjoy about this game?

i found klax boring just like tetris after awhile but DK i could play and play and play

I'm going with DK. I think that game has stood the test of time better than most games have... and plus..it's a classic. Don't get me wrong though...Klax is an awesome game. I just wanted to go with DK.
