Haunted Adventure Trilogy for the Atari 2600 & 7800 is an enhancement of the Haunted Adventure Special Edition. It is a modification of Nukey Shay's 8kAdvent, the original Haunted Adventure, and Superman. The following is a very brief summary of some of the new features:

All 7 game levels on a 32k bin/cart
NTSC, PAL50, and PAL60 versions
Optimized colour for the 2600 to improve visibility
Added or improved creature and object animations for all levels
Included some new sound effects
Many more secrets added ;)
Pause works correctly for all levels on both the 2600 and 7800
New function for left difficulty switch - varies the speed of creatures

Levels 1 to 3
Many additions made (including more hi-res rooms, objects, creatures, graphics, and sounds) to make each level unique

Level 7
Completely new and different game play for level 7 :D

Yes folks, I did it because I think she looks better than Supes, IMHO! :D

jono.jpg supes.jpg

Here's a brief list of code changes for Haunted Adventure III:
- added story of Jono Care for the manual
- 8k bankswitching embedded into 32k binary
- new characters, graphics, and sound effects
- changed the character matrices to alter their behaviours, i.e., one more flying
- sky changes colour as goals are achieved by using flags
- creatures disappear near the end of the game
- moved JSR's in main routine to fix game cycles
- added a pause feature for both the 2600 and 7800
- remapped the world: changed Metropolis to Spirit Bay: new graphics and colours
- added new region ;)
- added basic title screen for game selection
- added intro music
- added new game ending sequence, effects, and music
- added "lightning" for losing powers
- removed bridge gap to allow for freedom at the beginning (I always hated that :P )
- added colour flash code
- removed start cheat
- code for PAL50 and PAL60 versions

Just got it today. Awesome job. I played the first game on the flashback 2. The superman hack through me off for a while trying to find where to take the urm pieces.

There is no "the rom"; each cart has a different customized rom. If/when a rom is released here by me, it will be an AtariAge edition.

I must have missed the release of this game! Do you still have any available for sale?

Edit: Posted in 2006! (Slaps Forehead) Well, I guess my chances of getting one is out of the question.
