Need A Pac-Man Collection Cart.

Yes, they are, but what sucks is that there would by quite a bit of redundant code that I would rather see used for an additional 'Ms. Pac-Man Plus' game (to make it four games on one cart). So until I can get to that point of a near total reworking... Plus I would want to add the 'missing' row toward the top (and move the score somewhere else) like Nukey Shay originally suggested (see - I didn't forget!) ;)

I couldn't just stuff the three games in a 48K ROM - you would need additional ROM for a menu screen, no?

Please keep in mind - I'm not trying to say that I know anywhere even remotely near what you know, Ken - I couldn't even come close. I'm just explaining what's kept me from attempting it.

The other thing is I think Ms. Pac-Man uses all of the 4K available RAM (I had to re-use some locations for my own purposes).

Ken, do you know (and could you tell me) the complete address range for RAM?

Well maybe some of the graphics could be shared or combined? I know centipede did some stuff like putting code into little 64 byte free blocks in the graphics to save rom space which might complicate things. True, I don't know how much free space could be scraped up for a menu. For the RAM I would have to go back and look at a memory map, there is lots of weird mirroring and stuff probably mostly thanks to its 2600 compatability.

You could maybe do something simpler like pressing pause on the title screen in one game would just zero out some ram and hardware and jump to the start address of another. If you have source, are you recompiling the games or just using the source as a roadmap for patching the game?

I have a couple of ideas floating around in my head. Let me see what I can do. Thanks! :) Is it ok with you if once in a while I ask you questions?

The damn thing will end up being like a 16in1 pacman cart cause everyone will want different compilations of the different pac games so best bet would be to put them all on one. That is unless you want to make custom code each time for sets of 4 (or "x" whatever) games for each person intrested.
