I can't get it to work with my CC2. Don't know what i"m doing wrong. I used the same menu line as regular Xevious.

and also tried:

7800: Xevious Insane XEVINS78 7800_32K 78BIOS

but that got the exact same result. some noise and the screen is all messed up.

I just tried it on the real thing. Looks cool but unfortunetly there is a screen flicker on the sides. Anyway of fixing that. Plays great otherwise. Nice job. (thanks for fixing the bin Mitch.)

I just tried it on my CC2. All I get is lines across the screen. The last version worked so I'm guessing you broke something.

Hi Allan
i use a Pal system and use the same settings, that i use for xevious(NTSC).
We in germany have no problems to use NTSC carts on a Pal system.
I am able to play this bin. That is all,i can say.

So this is what you use?

Xevious - 7800 XEV78 HSC_32K HSC
Xevious Insane - 7800 XEVIN78 HSC_32K HSC

Maybe Mitch can try it when he gets a chance.

Walter,

This is 100 times better than normal Xevious. Can;t wait to see what else you do to this game. Looks like my normal Xevious cart is gonna be a donor cart now!! :)

I've played the MESS version of this and I got to say waves of flying enemies made my thumb tired. I was wondering what kind of changes are you going to make to this hack.

Try this one.

The reason it doesn't work on an NTSC 7800 is because it doesn't have a valid authentication signature.

About the game; I also get the flickering on the screen borders at the top portion of the screen. I also occasional have a problem with the shooting sound getting stuck on for a second or so.

By the way, is this a hack of the PAL version of Xevious or the NTSC version?

Hi Mitch
this is a hack of the NTSC version. But for testing,i use my 7800 PAL system.
The game itself is NTSC.And when putting it to my CC2,i have no problems.
I have no problems with sound, when playing.

Here's a signed copy of the latest version as well as an A78 copy.

Walter, I'm still seeing the screen flickering and having the occasional sound freeze issue but I've noticed it only happens when there are a large amount of objects near the top of the screen.
