music utilities with Atari800 win utility

I am getting the following 2 music utilities to boot up using Atari800winplus27b:

 

1. Theta Music Composer version 1.11. The only way it would work is to select Atari 800 OS-B; I couldn't get the Atari 800Xl to work using the XL rom bios that I have in the folder. Anyway, it doesn't allow me to control it! No key seems to work. I have messed around with the keyboard and joystick settings, no success.

 

2. I also got Chaos_MC20plus to boot up. Both of these utilities I am loading via the Disk Drive 1 option, by the way. Similar problem with this utility -- some keys sound a pitch, but I cannot seem to have any control or to actually use this utility.

 

Any help?!

1st... get atari800win 3.0

 

both work as well in 130xe mode...try this.

 

theta music composer must be loaded via an atari dos.

 

my works perfect with atiar800win... keyboard as well...

I downloaded Atari800win 3.0 .. and I'm still not getting controL!

 

I must use OS/B with the Atari 800 setting, the 800XL gives me a ROM error -- could i be using the wrong boot OS?

Okay, I have figured out my problem -- I did not have the Atari Basic ROM in the Basic directory. I'm not sure if your pgm uses Basic or not, but once I put it in there, I got the XL/XE emulation to work.

Ai-yi-yiiii ... I cannot figure these out!?

 

Chaos -- I see how to use the keyboard to plug in different notes, but I can't figure out how to use it.

 

Theta -- when I press enter on Compose, it seems to not do anything -- gets locked up? DOn't know ...

I can't figure out how to use either of these things.

 

Does anyone know of any documentation? OR, of somebody who has successfully used either?
