  1. it sure might hurt some of the remaining dealers out there because i am one, and i did supply quit a few of the dumps in jindriches collection. i also know him, respect him, and he is not doing it for the money. some of the dumps are games that i own, so it would be suicide for my new stuff if they were made available. thanks, lance www.atarisales.com
  2. good news i now have the rom images for mercenary, encounter, and international world karate. i hope to begin testing this week, i will keep all posted. the window on the 64k version might be the pal effect, but i will find out soon, and let you know, thanks, lance www.atarisales.com
  3. i have a working prototype of the 48k version of mercenary on cart right now, i am playing it looking for bugs. i hope to use the 64k european version instead, it has a bigger window for the first person perspective. i hope that the euro version scans good, then that might be the one we use. we usualy announce a cart on the atari8 news group, thanks, lance www.atarisales.com
  4. i certainly agree that anyone can make a fake proto type, and that there are many floating around, what other dealers do is something that is beyond my control. how many e-proms did i get per title? it varied by as little as only one on many games. i do not sell proto's, and never would sell my originals(unless forced to). if you check my site i do not list any title as a prototype, and i sell them with a label that i would like to see done if i was the buyer, and they are the same price as my regular stock. also it is not as cheap as many imagine, boards, and shells, and e-proms do not come cheap especially if it is a banked game. seaquest was never done for the 8-bit, i wished that freeway, and fishing derby would have also been done, thanks, lance www.atarisales.com
  5. hi, thanks for the warm welcome, i am not sure that we could ever come up with a fairly complete list. i contacted, and aquired permission from scott adams of adventure international about 2 years ago to release all of his games onto cartridge. so far we have done preppie 1, and II, rally speedway, whomper stomper, and have a few others done, but not released yet. russ wettmore who who wrote preppie 1, and II contacted me to say how happy he was that they were finaly available on cartridge, and what took so long. to make a long story short he told me that atari had cut a deal to release them on cart already, and that they were supposed to come out in 1985-1987. sure enough i started digging thru some of my many unopend boxes from atari searching for more wraps of e-proms, and there was bug off from russ wettmore of adventure international. jack was so secretive that i doubt we will ever know how many, and what titles remain to be found. he was buying these all on the cheap during the crash period of 1984-1986, then did nothing with most of them. i might have some that my other 2 dealer friends may not, and they might have some that i do not have. thanks, lance www.atarisales.com
  6. hi all, atari had many games on e-proms that they bought from other third parties when they tried to ressurect the 2600, as well as launch the XEGM, and never released the games. they bought out coleco, as well as parker bros. stable of games for the 2600, and the 8-bit games, that is why hasbro released frogger, and q*bert. they also bought out activisions 8-bit stuff, and i have them all on e-proms. they also did a bad deal to synapse(to long to go into detail), and all of those games like picnic paranoia were also converted to e-proms, so there are a few of these floating around because 2 other dealers have them also, and from time to time they will show up. as i get around to them i make them available on my site for sale, no auctions. thanks, lance www.atarisales.com
  7. hi, we have secured permission from paul woakes to release all three of his famous games on cartride for the atari 8-bit. we might even be able to release all three on one cartridge, that would be mercenary, mercenary second city, and encounter. if we cannot squeeze all three on to one cart we might have to release them seperatly, or maybe the 48k version of mercenary, and the 64k one on one cart, we will see, www.atarisales.com thanks, lance
