  1. It look as this is an NTSC version of your console. Mayority of PAL consoles have letter "P" as last letter of serial number (or have lonely "P" letter). If that's so, i wonder why it says PAL inside my atari... strange...
  2. Nope. I wonder why FROGGER's not working. Like i said, the person at the vg store tested it and it worked. They also cleaned it. Every other game i have works fine, but the screen isn't entirely filled like i said.
  3. nothing about pal or ntsc: MANUFACTURED BY ATARI-WONG LTD. IN HONG KONG MODEL NO. CX-2600 FCC TYPE APPROVAL NO. TV-363 VALID ONLY WHEN OPERATED PURSUANT TO FCC RULES, PART 15 COVERED BY U.S. PATENTS 3,793,483; 3,900,866; 3,723,652; 3,728,480; RE 28507; RE 28598; D 254,544 & PATENTS PENDING S.N. 568202223
  4. I bought an Atari (EDIT) light 6-switcher off of eBay. It works great, but when I look inside, there's a metal silver box with a red label that says PAL. Does this mean I have a PAL atari? Also, FROGGER doesn't work at all on my atari (every other game I own works great), and it's not the game (my sister and I took it back to the store where she bought it and they tested it, and it worked perfectly). The picture becomes very distorted and nothing happens (no sound either). Also, the picture doesn't fill up the whole screen. There is a black "frame" around ALL of my games. This is what frogger looks like (those lines "jump" on the screen). To prove my atari works, heres Pitfall! The "black frame" around the picture is not noticeable in this picture.
  5. That's exactly what i bought (except mine was gold not silver... lol). This makes the picture look (probably) better than if the atari was BRAND NEW. EDIT: I said that already....
  6. I just bought a Female RCA to Male Coax. jack from Radioshack. Now the picture looks (probably) BETTER than it would if the atari and TV box were brand new (Virtually no snow, and crystal clear picture and sound).
  7. I FINALLY GOT AN ATARI 2600 (didn't have one before) but I can't get a good picture on my TV. I've tried several tvs and even tried replacing the RF cord and trying 2 different COMPUTER/TV boxes (one was for a nes, and it worked better than the ATARI one, strangely). I even tried 2 AND 3 (2 it comes in in BW, and 3 theres mostly static and snow). I can't convert it to A/V because I know nothing about electronics. The problem is that I can't get it to work in color. The picture is black-and-white and has lots of "snow." Here's a picture. . EDIT: It seems to work great on our living room tv, but there's still some interference! EDIT AGAIN: Theres a silver box to the right (when looking at the front of the atari) inside the atari that says PAL. Is this a PAL atari (as opposed to NTSC)?
  8. I have a tandy computer with only the keyboard oh well. It was only $10 anyway...
  9. Thanks! I was looking all over the web for this rom!
  10. This is not really a classic game, but it is based on CGA graphics that were used with DOS games in the 1980s (correct me if im wrong, my friend knows more about this than me, but hes not online now) It only uses 4 colors. There are 2 versions, a "1982" version (My friend's original game) and a "1987 re-issue" version (I updated the graphics (still using 4 colors) and some other elements) it can be downloaded here! A little description: In this game, you pilot a balloon that is out to rescue soldiers that are in hostile territory. You have to rescue the soldiers and return to base. While doing so, you have to avoid being touched by enemy tanks and avoid letting your soldiers get captured by enemy soldiers. UPDATES IN "1987" version: Updated Graphics Updated Title Screen Updated Instructions Story line added to game Lives system (you get 3 lives)
  11. I have NO IDEA why this is but the pictures only work in a topic that isn't the main one.. SMSeTuP.exe EDIT: See the main topic at http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=128573
  12. I'm sure some of you remember Super Mario Bros. 4, but here is a completely original (almost) game that I think is good quality and very fun. SMSeTuP.exe This game is pretty easy, with a save (and autosave) feature, and you CANNOT DIE! You just restart the level. There are 12 levels, making it the LONGEST game I ever created. (sad... isn't it) This game takes long to load (not really), and for once it has nothing to do with sounds (Pam's Adventure and Super Mario Bros. 4 are 2 games that have this problem because they have lots of MP3 files), it's because theres VIDEOS! Some things in this game that stand out are: The save and autosave features. This is the first game I ever created that has more than 2 phrases spoken (created by a text to speech website). 3 FULL MOTION videos (intro (2 title cards), exit (tells you to go to recsoft.blogdrive.com and has a funny ending), and game completed (just some credits and cool music). Press F1 for a complete help screen that states the story, the controls, and everything else in the game. Catchy tunes. I'm not sure where to post this topic... I think in MODERN GAMING since i finished it Yesterday.... BTW The hall of fame just shows high scores.
