  1. Bought 8 games from this gentleman. What a pleasure to talk to and to do business with! Games were shipped promptly, well-packed, in pristine condition, and worked like new. Even better, he is genuine and forthright, respectful and respectable, an asset to the community. Thank you, Sir!
  2. Since I have both bought and sold on the Marketplace Forum over many years, I’ve found specific threads about specific products to be most effective. Using your example, I suggest separating your auction posts by system. Rather than a “Lots of rare stuff” title, provide separate posts for Vectrex, Colecovision, etc., each with its own specific title. That way you are targeting equally specific audiences, and those potential buyers who may be looking for ONE needn’t bother looking through ALL to find their items of interest.
  3. No argument, so I’m glad you clarified. That does NOT, however, prevent the application of a little passive/aggressive pressure on whomever owns the copyrights. It’s fair to wonder if they’re being renewed and, if not, will they eventually become public domain? Does anyone here really care if unrenewed copyrights from the early 80s are violated by the release of these ROMs? I would genuinely like to know who would lose potential profit if/when they are distributed.
  4. Good points, Rom! John has served the community well and deserves much respect and credit for what he has accomplished and shared. What your post brings to mind is the Blue Sky Rangers who have sequestered M-Network ROMs we’d all like to play. Doing so is a disservice to the community.
  5. I note that two CIB releases have sold out. Congrats on your success! But if you were to do another release, I would snatch it up, ESPECIALLY if the box was printed in English. Will follow this thread just in case.
  6. Thanks for pointing that out, James. I shall disregard.
  7. Firefox reports your .BIN contains a virus.
  8. Excellent! I’m sure we’re all looking forward to seeing a demo of the gameplay. Thank you for this!
  9. Therein lies my concern, Rom. Current dumping software may not recognize it if the chip is unique. One of our brilliant engineering types might need to get hands on it.
  10. Here is the Atarimania link showing scans of the manual. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-tarzan_20495.html Those interested in seeing how this prototype - if that’s what it genuinely is - was intended to function can get a good idea of the gameplay from it. Clearly we need to see screenshots or even a video of the game being played before taking this seriously. That said, I REALLY hope this potentially massive find is legit.
  11. Post a link for the community please. This could be big news. I have a box and a manual, all I need is a ROM to make it complete. Rumor has it that it required a chip developed exclusively for this game and it became too expensive to produce as the market was crashing. The question is, can it be dumped as is or does the unique chip require new code in dumping software to recognize whatever bankswitching scheme it may or may not use? Sounds like a fun challenge for the community if we can just get our hands on it…
  12. I hope I speak for the entire community when expressing respect for the way you adhere to the wishes of various ROM owners. We would ALL like to be treated in such an honorable way. Just knowing the ROM exists is exciting, so patience is easy. Please keep up the good work.
  13. Excellent discovery and write-up, Matt! Thank you for this. Now, if Marc Oberhauser and Rom Hunter are monitoring this thread, how about a 1982-style silver box for Choplifter and an entry in the Atarimania database?
  14. Interesting, and thanks. I would never have looked for it, though, because of how comfortable I am with the current theme. My input is meant only to encourage the OPTION of "new" or "classic" should there be an overhaul of the site.
