  1. Could you help me out with that please?? I'd love to see the original Breakout code and compile it myself. How can I hack the original .bin ? Is there a special tool?
  2. WOW! Thanks for the very detailed explanation!!! Kudos to you I'm using multisprite kernel indeed, but how can I manually define how many rows I want on the screen at visual batari basic code? I'm just trying to achieve a 'Breakout' clone here, with the same number of rows, same block sizes and same colors from the original game. And since it's a simetrical game, I'd like to use the whole screen, as you said it's possible by repetition or reflection of the playfield (in this case, the wall of bricks). Could you give an example on how to do such thing? And again, thank you for your kind support. Cheers, Roger
  3. I'm a newbie here but I've compiled my own games with Visual Batari Basic, so I've read a lot of documents, but I couldn't find an answer for my doubt. Why I can't reach Atari 2600 full screen resolution to make my playfields larger and thinner screen rows? For example, I've taken the Breakout sample code from Batari source and I've included a wall of bricks as a playfield. But when I compile it, the wall height is too large and it doesn't reach both left/right sides of the screen. Why does that happen? Is it possible to fix or it requires a kernel tweaking?
  4. I'd love to see it on my PC, because I'm not going to buy an iPhone just because of that. Other Activision programmers should join Crane's team to release info about other great Activision games, such as my favorite one H.E.R.O.
  5. I'm looking for a rare Rushing Beat (Super Famicom) prototype. This game is also known as Rival Turf for the SNES. See a picture below (published in a Brazilian magazine in 1992): Rushing Beat Prototype Picture Curiously, this proto looks better than the final version! All help is welcome! Cheers, Roger.
  6. I was disappointed with the Atari 2600 version of PacMan. It was the 1st game I bought to my Atari back in 1984 and I must say that the SOUND of this game is the worst (Téin Téin Téin)... It keeps echoing in my head for hours after stop playing it. I had some fun playing it at the beggining, but I gave up soon to play more decent 2600 games. Roger.
  7. Here's my contribution to the list: 1) H.E.R.O. 2) Keystone Kappers 3) Breakout 4) Circus Atari 5) Decathlon 6) Pitfall 7) Jungle Hunt Atlantis 9) Sea Quest 10) Kaboom! Regards, RC.
  8. Could you scan and send me a copy of the Phantom Fighter nes manual for free?
  9. C'mon guys, don't lost the main purpose of this post that is to find someone who could make the Thea Realm Fighters prototype available here at the Atari Age for everybody!!! And I don't care about the 'status' of the source code, if someone get it compiled and working, that's fine! If you want to talk about fighting games in general, please open another topic. Thanks. Roger.
  10. Is there someone here who knows if the game Thea Realm Fighters has been released (even as a prototype)?? I've searched for it everywhere but all I could get was some pictures and a small mpeg video (8mb) that shows the game prototype intro and one match. It's a digitized fight game that features real martial artists (some of them came from MK, like Ho Sung Pak and Daniel Pesina!!). Look, it's not a ROM request, but if it exists, we must have to find it at any cost!!!!
