Frogs, a game that would be nice for multijoy interface

Frogs, a nice multiplayer game for Atari ST was released on December 2018:

It's a conversion of this original C64 game:

I think it would be fun to play it on Atari with multijoy interface.

ABBUC Magazine Issue #136

Sat Apr 6, 2019 3:28 AM

It's always a joy to receive new issues of magazine of ABBUC, the German club with 460 members.

The included disks force you to turn on your old disk drives, sometimes forgotten because of modern loading devices.

In addition to the usual disk(s) full of programs/demos/graphics, there's a Pong clone inside a beautiful English / German package.

Adventure Creation Kit

Sat Feb 23, 2019 1:53 AM

Someone in the past mentioned it (Gunstar, Andreas) but I think Adventure Creation Kit deserves a topic.

It's a really nice Basic program published on Antic magazine (March 1988 Volume 6 Number 11).

As written on the magazine, if you ever wanted to design and play an endless choice of Ultima-type scrolling graphics role-playing adventures, Adventure Creation Kit gives you that power.

Very good programming by Stephen Stout.

Some characters graphics could be improved (horse, axe, player).

I attach the game and a pdf with extracted pages from Antic.

Two Bruce Lee sequels

Tue Feb 19, 2019 2:07 AM

We all know that Bruce Lee was programmed for A8 by Ron Fortier (graphics by Kelly Day) and then converted for C64 and other computers. There's a nice Ron Fortier's interview on Retro Gamer #145.

In 2013 a spiritual successor, Bruce Lee II, was released for PC.
In 2015 it was converted for C64. Very nice game.

On March 1st a new Bruce Lee game will be released for C64, Bruce Lee - Return of the Fury.

Compared to 2015 Bruce Lee II, 2019 Bruce Lee - Return of the Fury seems having used original code and graphics.

Therefore, I think a version for A8 would be easier to make.
