  1. As a 2-player game, it's great fun and often hilarious. Does the Flashback Collection allow all games (multi-player obviously) to be played online?
  2. I think you're getting stories (and games) mixed up there!
  3. They're actually for the Atari 2600 although they will work on the 7800.
  4. But nobody moves on, do they? There's still huge interest in stamps, coins and comics.
  5. This just shows the differences between our countries. Pacman is shoved down the throats of the US prior to launch. In the UK (Scotland) I was oblivious to "hype". Usually the first sight of a new game was when it was actually on the shelves!
  6. I just bought an 8 in 1 multi-cart that has the exact same artwork as that - "Fantastic Game"! It has Mariana Ice Hockey Laser Blast Space Raid Boom Bang Dragon Defender Ski Run Enduro Is Fantastic Game the company name? Scanner is out of action at the moment, will scan ASAP if required.
  7. I'm not saying this isn't true but from a personal view, I can honestly say, I was completely unaware of any "hype" for any Atari game. I can't remember any adverts etc. I can vaguely remember we had the magazine 'TV Gamer' but apart from that, nothing. I can't even remember anybody (and I mean anybody) getting an Atari game, plugging it in and saying "this looks nothing like the arcade game". I just think we were happy to get something regardless of what it looked like. My favourite arcade game was Crystal Castles. I couldn't wait for the 2600 version. Box looked great. I was only 10 or 11 years old but even then I knew I wasn't getting an arcade perfect copy, nor did I expect it. I was happy, I had Crystal Castles in my house! Nobody ever said to me "Pacman is awful". It seems it's link with the past has made it cool to "put it down". Pac-Man. The worst game? No, not even close by a long shot!
  8. Just wondered if it was possible to have a separate area for folks from different parts of the globe (specifically Europe) . Or maybe even the posters put their region in the Topic Title. I often flick through the "For Sale" topics and there's always things that draw me in but they're almost always in the US. Sometimes that's fine as some folks will ship worldwide but for the odd, single cart the cost of postage is too great. There doesn't seem to be anywhere (forums etc) in the UK specific to the 2600/7800 so we're often left with no option but to use ebay.
  9. Don't know if this is an NTSC specific problem as I've had my PAL Atari hooked up to my 42" Panasonic plasma with no issues at all!
  10. Last week, one of the newspapers here in the UK did an article on "Future Antiques". Amongst the (mostly electronic) items was, of course, the Atari VCS. I'll omit the other meaningless garbage this "expert" knew about Atari, only to say that he predicted that in 10 years the Atari "could" be worth around £200!!!! With games going for £200 each. My collection isn't particularly large or impressive but by his values it was sitting at just under the £60,000 mark!
  11. My scans for my Spacevision multi-cart. Noticed it's the same artwork as an earlier, but completely different, cart (Mr Postman Scan for Fantastic Game / Marpes)!
  12. OK I'll do that no probs. I'll have to look out my scanner - give me a day or so. Do I send it to you directly or attatch to a post or something else?
  13. Rom Hunter, do you maintain the Atarimania site? If so would you need a decent scan of the cart or box?
  14. Is it spelled Farmer or Famer on the cart? It's Farmer on the cart.
