  1. I had a GB Pocket and that screen was better than an OG, but could still use a backlight. I did find the GG to be flashier, but I think the software drew me in more on the GB. It was like having a simpler NES, but could still crank out a game like Links Awakening.

I don't know if falling flat is the right phrase, but I agree. I think some of the bigger game companies would do themselves a favor by focusing more on AA games than high risk AAA. I know for the hardcore Yar fans, a platformer may not be what they'll want, but it is worth a shot to expand the IP. It isn't like there is zero ways to play the original Yars. So totally worth the shot and I hope it lands well.
  3. I'm interested in the game. However, if one of her upgraded equipments isn't a speaker hat I'm going to boycott it like some of the VCSers were going to do with Lunar Lander Beyond when it hadn't been announced for VCS yet. If there's a part that you need to wear a speaker hat to play annoying sythwave music to kill two guards to move on.... day one purchase here.
  4. I had also heard that someone had herd someone say that they did preliminary testing which doesn't mean testing and passing which is what I heard had been discussed before and that the paperwork will be submitted once their feelings are done being hurt when Intellivision is no longer ridiculed. This reminds me that now that I'm on reddit I'm going to have to block redditshreddit now. Thanks for the reminder.

I will applaud Atari for actually trying something new and different with their IP. I'm meh on the character and level design, but like that it isn't just rehashing the same gameplay like Recharged series do. Most anticipation I've felt for an Atari game for quite awhile. I wished they tried to do more of something like this with Lunar Lander Beyond.
  6. Whew! I was worried there for a minute. They did finally get the controller patent through. Too bad they still don't have FCC certs for those controllers they are going to be manufacturing soon.
  7. You would think that marketing team and their video guy would have looked over their stuff first. It was promoting their product. It really is just another testament to how poorly it was ran. It's like they needed to have more beer parties at the office. That might have fixed the issue.
  8. Exactly. Kids and moms are not dumb despite how he acted. Probably why he doesn't have either in his life considering his grandpa age. Or he would know, if he didn't put a scam before starting a family. The ONLY chance it really had was staying at the announced price of $150. Then it could have been considered a budget buy for a simple console. Literally when it hit $200 the wife told me to get a Switch. She knew it had games she would like. All the old men who were excited really just wanted an Evercade to pee excitedly at the idea of a revived childhood. They didn't want kid or family friendly games or they would have pushed the Switch bashing more. It was being done already at $250 by a company who was established and known. In other news some fun quotes. According to Tommy the games needed to be complete to start manufacturing. 🤣 Guess the holdup was Cornhole. Tommy was holding his two craps afterall. And Much like Jr. Do, Tommy would continue to crap in his diapers. A LOT.
  9. Contra with 4 players! Wouldn't that be something? https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/contra-operation-galuga-switch/ Also note it doesn't take a total of 4 consoles like the former CEO would have you believe for a 4 player game. Contra 4 players on Switch costs $1234!
  10. I've heard all the games won a Biffy award. Also John admits controllers don't work with their OS. Probably explains all the live events with lag and disconnections. They are totally on the launchpad!
  11. Well guys, when you suck at gaming as bad as DJC even a broken AI looks competent. Amico was never more than a basic Android board. They were just incompetent and added extra boards for LEDs and to charge controllers. Back in February 2020 they passed on an offer from a manufacturer to source all parts and make the console. In 2021 they still hadn't finished anything. They hedged their bets and thought they could sell but they are a joke so got no buyers. As far as the games not being done, iirc they were begging people to work for free to finish games for them. Or maybe it was early 2022. Either way, games weren't done and should have been done at early 2020 to be ready for launch.
  12. So just to remind everyone. They said they were totally ready for 10/10/2020, and it was just parts that caused them to delay..... They never had their pack in games done. 🤣 Maybe the idiots will now believe the Fundable percentages? The only thing they had completed was board design and shell design. Nothing else was ready. Now I will give them partial credit on the missing parts. The big missing part they needed was a competent team who knew what they were doing and could deliver a competent product. See I'm fair. 😅
