It is the same text as on Neo Sprint so it looks like that page likely got copied and they missed removing it from Yars.

C0pperdragon GTIAdigitizer for Atari ST?

I am sure that you've probably had your unit for quite some time. Hope you are enjoying it! Regarding the Collector's Edition, I believe the only differences are a different type of wood on the front plate (teak), it being numbered, and a certificate of authenticity. Someone with a unit can correct me if I am wrong. Did you get the Onyx model or the Black Walnut?

Yes, I had that happen to me as well. After a reboot all seemed well so I figured it was an anomaly.

Yes it is the same developer. I’ve loved all of their games. Donut Dodo is one of my favorite games in recent years. -
*Atari* 8-bit sightings (movies, videos, and more)

For me I think the following are all-time greats: - 2600 - Atari 8-bit computers (they were amazing when they came out) - Atari ST - Made 16-bit computing attainable to so many people - Atari Lynx - the credit here goes to Epyx for making a revolutionary handheld And if you wanted to look at all-time greats for arcade cabinets, I obviously think some of Atari’s cabinets would be among them.

Would you be excited for an Atari ST mini ?

I personally never had Sega games on the ST. Honestly, though, I think of those games as closely being linked to the Sega Genesis and not the ST. I really wouldn’t consider Sega a partner in regards to the Jaguar. They were in litigation with Atari and settled to allow Atari to bring some IP to the Jaguar but it never happened. They were also a direct competitor in the console space. -
Just curious - have you played on any real hardware in the past? If so, do you remember what model(s)? Or will this be your first experience with the real thing? I personally really like the look and footprint of the Jr. But it is hard to not like the wood grain on other models 😁.

You might also want to consider a 7800. It would give you access to some more games.

I think one of the weaknesses of the Lynx were the original titles. Tramiel Atari never seemed to really do a good job with original titles developed internally. When I think of the best original Lynx games, they were the originals that were developed by Epyx - Electrocop, Blue Lightning, Zarlor Mercenary, Gates of Zendocon, Todd's Adventures in Slime World, Chip's Challenge. I thought the arcade conversions were great. The fight was always going to be an uphill battle, though. It isn't like it was just the Lynx and Gameboy being judged solely on their technical merits. Nintendo was a juggernaut and they had such an outsized advantage over Atari when it came to developing a library of games. I get the tradeoffs of the Lynx with battery life and size but looking at just the hardware and the price, IMO, there is no way the Gameboy should have been so dominant. I am not saying that Atari could not have done a better job getting third party support but they were starting at a much worse position than Nintendo. Atari had taken Nintendo to court over their exclusivity agreements with developers.

Any Game in the VCS Store is FREE Offer (to end of Feb 2024)
stirrell replied to livingonwheels's topic in Atari VCS
Yup, that was my thought. My fault for waiting until the last minute. I am going through a move, though, so I specifically unpacked and set up the VCS in order to use the code. Oh well. It prompted me to get the system set up.
