  1. Troed, According to me you totally missed the point. Lotharek is a hobby project, and I wonder if he can make a descend living with building and selling this devices at that price. Tread him like a company, is totally over the top. If those were built by a company with engineers, design team, inspection, etc.., you would have to pay at least 1000,- €/pc. Taken into account the limit amount of build devices and their complexity. The chance that they will work better is minimal, but you would get a better answer from their legal department. My view is : As hobby projects, we need to be aware that sometimes the devices don't always work like expected, and you must willing to take the loss. Also don't blame the guys who are still willing to make this stuff.
  2. Hello, At first glance, this is indeed what I'm looking for. Many thanks for the reply. I was not aware of this, and I go read this in depth. Mark
  3. Hello, Thanks for the explanation. I've already gone through your 'youtube' video's and found them very informative. I will try your solution soon. However, I like also to copy the European Tandy cassettes. I've almost all the original cassettes sold by Tandy with the adapted games. All those cassette games start automatically after "CLOADM", and they have a nice intro/opening. The main goal is to archive them, and secondary to play those games on a real coco with preferable the help of a cocosdc. Yesterday I tried some "tape to disk" programs I found, however without success. Mark
  4. Hello, Thanks for the reply. However, how can I load cassette files (which start automaticity) and save those on the cocosdc. I tried some tape to disk software, as I found in the archive, but I didn't succeed. When the file is stored on the cocosdc, how can I load those files?
  5. Hello, I live in Europe, and for almost 40 years, I’m the owner of a coco. Tandy sold some games on tape which differ from the US version. Because in PAL countries, pmode 4 don’t give artificial red/blue colours, an extra option was added to chose between different pmode 3 colours. (Just like the Dragon). I didn’t find an image of those particular games on the net. Now my questions: Is there an “very” easy way to transfer those games, and make an image to a modern pc. When I succeed in making an image of those games, how can I load those images on a real coco? Preferably, with the use of an CoCoSDC. However this is a ‘disk oriented device’. Mark
  6. Some additional info : http://www.oocities.org/clu-da-bard/spectrelist.html
  7. See: https://www.oocities.org/clu-da-bard/spectreatari.html Spectre GCR 3.0 is the latest version. See also the post from the Master himself: https://forums.atariage.com/topic/9183-spectre-gcr/#comment-87382
  8. Hello, I’ve a Spectre GCR connected to my MegaSTe. The Spectre GCR has special connections to attach an Atari floppy drive and let it work under variable speed. This way it can read and write apple Disks. However, this didn’t work well on my MSTe, but on a normal ST this method was working. The trick was (that time) to connect a SCSI SyQuest ez135 to a Macintosh, and create a bootable drive. When finished, you could connect the SyQuest ez135 with that drive easily to the MSTe. (with respect of the scsi id and proper termination.) The config program of Spectre allows you to automatic boot from the syquest ez135. This works very well, and probably is also possible with the recreated MagicSAC+.
  9. Hello, Nice that it works for you. Can you give some explanation how your actual working setup is ? Did you use/install other stuff than win 3 with the ATspeed. I used mine for accessing wordperfect 5.1 Regards, Mark
  10. I've done this +/- 15 years ago, and it works. Also with win 3.11. However the windows is slow. I used hddriver for my hard-disk. What I remember, you need to follow the steps as mentioned in the manual. The size and format of the primary partition is important. You can find the manual at https://docs.dev-docs.org/ However the manual is only available in 'German' language. If you still fails, please give me some more info about your setup. Mark
  11. You have installed xcontrol.acc ? http://www.atari-wiki.com/index.php/The_"XControl.ACC"_Control_panel_and_CPX_modules_explained For installation of sting, see also : http://www.mega-ste.com/netusbee_n_sting.htm And don't forget to point xcontrol to the right cpx directory. Use editor QED for the configuration of DEFAULT.CFG and ROUTE.TAB. At ROUTE.TAB, you need to separate the items with TAB, do not use spaces. Further, I used always : EtherNet With capital E and capital N More information : https://weblambdazero.blogspot.com/2016/04/netusbee-configuration-for-atari.html Good luck, Mark
  12. Network related items : Did you follow the info according following sites : http://hardware.atari.org/manuals/netsoft.htm http://hardware.atari.org/manuals/netsting.htm Download links mentioned on this site are still working. For the latest revision of the UIP tool https://bitbucket.org/sqward/uip-tools/downloads/ USB related items : usb driver pack revision 5 On atari-forum.com However this is down. Maybe somewhere else, but I don't know.
  13. Also Interested. I've a Clab Falcon MKII without this board, and want to complete the system. Want to pay a good price.
  14. Hello, Didn't know the existence of that forum. However I have some questions : 1./ Are Dragon games 1:1 compatible with Coco. => checked this with emaulator. They are not binary compatible. 2./ How can I load cas files to dsk ? This is actually a 2 step sequence: 2a/ I have the original tapes. If I know how to transfer them to a file, I can upload them as cas file. 2b/ Can I load those cas file to a dsk image? So I can transfer them from my pc to the coco and azccess them with cocosdc Kind regards, Mark
  15. I got myself a CocoSDC. Really wonderful stuff. I downloaded the disk images from "the king" and "time bandit". I could load them easily with the CocoSDC, and play them on the real hardware, without emulator. However, those games I downloaded are PMODE 4 only. When Tandy distributed those games in Europe, you got also the option for PMODE3. (actually 3 colours - 1xPMODE4 and the two PMODE3 settings). This is also applicable for PENGON and BUZZARD BAIT and if I still remember it correctly, for ZAXXON. They where available as cassette tapes made by Tandy, and distributed in their stores. On European televisions, the PMODE 4 trick doesn't work, and those games looks much much better in PMODE3 Does someone know if those images also exists? Regards, Mark
