Graphics hacking. Where to start?

Wed May 11, 2016 9:57 AM

In the past, I have messed with Hack-o-matic and putzed around with the graphics on a couple 2600 games. I see a few things I'd like to change around with some 7800 games, but not sure how to start with this.  Any ideas?

SMS 3-D games on modern TV's

Mon Apr 25, 2016 7:32 AM

We all know that light guns don't work on modern TV's, and I've heard that the Sega 3-D glasses don't either.

First, I know that there are a few of the 3-D games that will work in 2-D.  Zaxxon 3D for one (hidden menu at power up. Press pause at the title screen, and you can switch.) I wonder what other games can be played in 2-D without modification, and if there are 2-D hacks of the games that allow play on a modern TV (I'm fully expecting the answer on this to be a no.)

Thoughts?

Pie Factory Podcast at Midwest Gaming Classic.. CONTEST!

Wed Apr 6, 2016 8:19 PM

Going to the Midwest Gaming Classic this weekend? (4/9/2016)?

Stop by the Underground Retrocade table! Pie Factory Podcast will be there! We'll have buttons, business cards, and the first person to the table that answers the Pie Factory Podcast trivia question to either Dauber or I will receive an Edladdin Seagull 78 adapter! This adapter allows the player to use a Sega Genesis controller on your Atari 7800, with full TWO BUTTON support! We'll be there from open to close.  Look for us!  We're in Exhibit Hall T, the Arcade Vendor Showcase!

The question is...

WHAT ARE THE NAMES OF THE TWO GAMES COMING UP FOR EPISODE 28?

Good luck!

No posting answers here either!

Wed Apr 6, 2016 5:18 PM

Wow! Galloping Ghost in Brookfield, IL just got the Beavis and Butthead arcade proto! Apparently only 12 were made, and the machine seems to be based on the 3DO.

I hope he brings it to MGC
