  1. my friend and I would always joke every time we'd play the soccer game. 'Wanna play "nasal" soccer?' comedy gold for 10 yr olds...
  2. I definitely chuckle each time Rick tries to pronounce your screen name
  3. it (happy trails score) got removed from TG even before he got banned
  4. The worst is when you're deep in a game and just have a random brain fart and forget which side of the tick hooks versus slices, even though you've done it thousands of times, and it costs you at least two shots . That and the certain angle putts which are (from all i can tell) impossible to make based on possible club angles
  5. My current TG scores are course #1-64 #2-67, #3-67, #4-74, #5-77 . I've got a 75 on 5 on YT, that one's gonna take a real special effort to try and break par
  6. awesome job! Definitely hate the good scores when you bogey two of the last three, it could have been so much better Hate rounds like that. 64's my best on course 1, that's pretty darn close!
  7. As for pre-built ones, I'm not sure if Sean H has begun 'open selling' them, but he has at least a couple of times put ones he's pre-built on ebay in part for charity, which is where I bought mine. https://www.ebay.com/usr/1stage
  8. Managed to try out a game during the intvprime prge streaming event. Not bad luck but one bad hole and 3 putt for a 40. Bitd my best friend and I could do best of 36 on it. Think I'll stick to chip shot tho
  9. Once again a mere participatory effort, time flies Game 4620 Practice 8340 Total 12,960
  10. Once again participatory score. 92,700. Never played before and I can dig it. A bit of a dragonfire kind of vibe. Couldn't quite grok strategy for the on foot screen.
  11. yeah, i've been looking at trying to get the first disc-level million for many years. Honestly i thought it was fairly out of reach, but now i know better. This game was honestly extremely good, but not unicorn-level out of reason. I definitely could have tightened up my Board 3 and Board 5 runs that could have gotten me there. I did have some very good discipline to start the game. I went back and checked, and I had 395,350 points before I used my first pepper of the game on board 6. One new points pressing strategy i tried to take advantage of is in the 2nd loop, while trying to group, once they go into hyper speed, I don't try to fight and defintiely don't run over any buns. Take a death to reset the speed and try to get the 8k groups. game is up at twitch.tv/gavv/ and i've published it on TG for voting: https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/250242-Intellivision-Burger-Time-Burger-Time-NTSC-PAL-Points-Fastest-Difficulty-991-100?1164487=#post1164487 board progression: board Score at end approx timestamp at end peppers at end lives at end 1 62,400 0:19:30 6 8 2 168,300 0:38:45 7 14 3 251,550 0:56:20 10 17 4 261,550 0:58:50 11 18 5 395,150 1:12:50 13 30 6 437,500 1:19:45 14 32 7 444,950 1:24:05 13 28 8 518,750 1:41:30 14 27 9 631,850 1:56:05 14 32 10 677,000 2:07:00 14 31 11 683,200 2:08:30 15 32 12 814,300 2:25:45 18 30 13 869,450 2:42:45 15 27 14 885,800 2:47:20 16 23 15 899,100 2:52:45 17 17 16 921,500 2:58:50 12 13 17 938,050 3:02:15 14 12 18 944,050 3:04:30 14 12 19 960,250 3:09:30 12 10 20 976,400 3:13:10 10 8 21 986,250 3:16:15 0 2 22 991,100 3:17:45 0 0
  12. I can't believe it, it almost happened. I played a game this afternoon to test out my new streaming set up and.... 991,100 ...so close to the million.
  13. If you watch any of my BT vids, you'd see that it's not just beginners that have the worst with losing a life as you use a pepper (especially hitting pepper when you're too close to the baddie and the pepper cloud goes *behind* them) oof. i still probably do that at least 2-3 times per game unfortunately. Probably some primal instinct that tells the hindbrain that life is worth more than pepper :)...i was watching my 626k game a couple days ago and after board 4 i had 292k, 25 lives, and 6 peppers... in the arcade version you can use peppers to easily group enemies whereas that technique does not work on Inty. Also, if you're on a board too long and the baddies start to speed up, if it's too much to handle without wasting ingredients, it's can be useful to sacrifice a life to reset the speed and gather yourself. Every 4 pieces make it to the bottom spawns the bonus pepper so it works to try and drop the pieces in the order you want to get you as close to the spawn point as possible. For example on board 1, clear the full 3 burger in the middle, then the bottom bun on the right (or 2 or 3 on the left or right burger, then the final 1 or 2 from the middle burger to complete a group of 4) . All 8k drops (essentially) are a matter of knowing and seeing paths in the ladders , getting all 5 baddies to be following in a line, and then cluster them closer by making the front of the line take a longer route. Board 5 has many routes vertically and horizontally that can be used for this purpose. Again referring to my 626k game the other day, I noted on that one board alone, i made the 8000pt drop 13 times, by far the best i've done. (watching the vid i was saying man i so did not play boards 1-3 well at all, how did i get that score? ohhh that's how) Also key is not wasting pieces by dropping them empty or dropping them onto other pieces. Example if a bun is 3 levels up, it can be dropped with baddies 2 times before it goes to the bottom. If you run it over (even to squish something below), you'll lose one of those drop opportunities. That 3 level bun can be worth 16,200 pts Another minor tip, if you drop all or most of the baddies, and there is a ladder directly in the middle of the levels above that bun, it's good to stand on the ladder. The spawning baddies from below will split and wrap around and be much more tightly grouped together than if you are much to the left or right of them.
