  1. Just as an FYI (and a barometer for rarity) my copy of Edtris was number 203 (purchased in May of 1999 I think). I am not sure how many copies sold after, but I would gladly part with this now one of a kind personally numbered collectible for the right price. j/k I have to agree that eventually they will be collectible, but never really valuable. I would think that most people buying homebrew atari 2600 games in the 90's would most likely hang on to them for the long haul. Therefore getting one could suddenly become tricky. Randy was very helpful and a great resource for the hobby, I was disappointed to hear he was no longer providing this service. I have no idea who is right and wrong, but I wish him the best if he is reading this.
  2. I work full time and ship all my large packages from a UPS/office depot for the sake of convenience (sp?) the mailboxes etc near me closes at 6. This office depot UPS site limits packages to US only. The few times I have sold games out of country getting the money and determining the cost of shipping was a pain, so rather than throw more variables into the equation, I thought it would be easier to say - just in the US. While I realize you are just having some fun with me (or at my expense). I am offering this with no reserve, which opens the door to a pretty good deal, but sadly only to the US.
  3. No, the package is too big for the post office and the UPS center I use does not ship outside the USA - so international atarians are out of luck on this one.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1363458506 please see the above auction. I am selling off my collection of boxed games, to help pay some various expenses which have popped up recently. These range from shrinkwrapped (all O'sheas) to red and white purchases, to games I bought in the store back in the 80's. Items of note include the big box of Star Raiders w/ controller (sorry no overlay), and Montezuma's Revenge. If you are interested check it out, I am offering it with no reserve so it may be a chance to boost your collection of boxed games at a reasonable proce.
  5. I have dropped the prices on my web site in an attempt to clear out everything else I have. Please check it out if you are interested. www.geocities.com/ataripoll

    For Sale List Posted

I hate to do this, but the message got pushed down the board pretty quick. If anyone is interested let me know.
  7. I have listed my games for sale at www.geocities.com/ataripoll Prices are based on rarity guide and condition all games have been tested. Feel free to email me with any questions.
  8. OK you guys have convinced me. I will throw up a list of games for sale with reasonable prices over the weekend (I will also use it as a chance to work on my HTML so they may not be up right away). Anyone interested can make an offer and the leftovers will end up on ebay. Out of curiousity are games ok to ship in bubble envelopes or are they occasionally damaged (loose carts - I am thinking specifically of activision and other games with an open top might be more likely to get crushed).
  9. I am going to start unloading some of my collection for a multiple of reasons, the main one being that I just don't have time to play the games (and when I do I normally fire up the emulator rather than the 2600). I am testing the waters on ebay - is it better to sell in lots or individual games all listed around the same time (so one person can bid on several and save on shipping?) or is it better to just sell from a message board/website. I am using ebay mainly for the conveinence. Any advice or personal experience anyone has would be appreciated.
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?V...indexURL=0&rd=1 2 7800 games crack'ed and tower toppler, shrinkwrapped. No Reserve.
  11. there is another ad here http://www.digitpress.com/dpsightz/misc/ch6p1.jpg this looks like a lot of effort for a haox, All the other titles appear legit. Does anyone know anything about this? If this is the real deal where is the ROM? If this is a fake why bother to go through this much trouble. It is not an a catalog (like the Incredible Hulk Parker Brothers Deal), but a game for sale. I am very surprised no one saw this before.
  12. feel free to grab any .bins from my page. My favorite is the atari invaders game. The worst is the invisible maze pacman. I haven't been spending as much time w/ classic games as of late, but I am still around.
  13. I actually ran a top 10 poll a few years back (it ran into some conflict because I think there were only 28 responses). Anyways check out www.geocities.com/ataripoll if you are interested. The site is falling into disrepair but there are a few one of a kind downloads (aka hacks). If there is response I will fix up the site otherwise enter at your own risk. I am not sure if I have a personal top 10 but my top 5 would be 1. Pitfall II 2. Save Mary 3. Edtris 4. Carnival 5. Ms Pac Man
  14. I got a telegame from sears so my pack in was Target Fun, the same year we got Space Invaders, Asteroids, and Baseball (Homerun). All also from sears. We actually had to trade to get combat.
  15. My 2600 power source and decathalon helped my 2600 into early retirement. After replacing countless plugs and joysticks my atari wound up in the closet roughly 6 months to a year before I got my NES. The model still works, but the power connection still breaks off at the most inconvienent times and I can never find a working joystick.
