  1. Aria and Dawn of Sorrow are amazing games. I also hated Portrait of Ruin.
  2. The only problem I have with Mario Kart Wii is that you can't play the GP mode with 2 players. Unless you're online the multiplayer is pretty stale compared to DoubleDash. Edit: try playing it with a Gamecube controllet you might like it more.
  3. The loud disc drive is in all the first wave systems. I was messing with a newer wii the other day and was mad that my wii wasn't so quiet. I've had several customers who wanted repairs on newer systems (Wii/Ds) call nintendo and they have always said Nintendo was really nice about it all. I'm not trying to discredit you but it does seem you are in the minority of people who have delt with nintendo's customer service. Try calling back and asking for a different person as KrazyKaiju (^^^^) said. You'll probably get someone more helpful.
  4. I remember after beating that game I felt cheated. It was so easy it was stupid! So I'm not completely derailing. . . I remember games like Megaman 2 and 3, Castlevania, Metroid, and Metal Gear kicking my ass and loving every second of it. I think when games are hard now it feels more like you are just being screwed over by the game than actually being bad at it. Recently games are only hard to me if they put a really low time limit on whatever task you are doing or if the game is just randomly being an a-hole to you!
  5. 1. Castlevania 1 2. Contra 3-10. Goonies 2 Goonies 2 is actually one of my favorite games of all time. "Ouch what do you do!"
  6. I would hardly call it spot on. I play RPGS, FPS, and some sports games. Does that mean I'm a sensative adrenaline junkie with regrets about not going pro when I played sports? Thats pretty much the opposite of me. (I never even played sports) I work at Trade-n-Games. I see different kinds of people buying all kinds of games and I can safely say that about 5% of them fit what she said and thats being generous. Some people just like to play games that are fun. I would like to see what she would say about someone who only plays tetris or tetris type games or even someone who likes puzzle/adventure type games!
  7. Some one should offer to sell her some of the same stuff shes selling right now. If she thinks its really worth that much maybe she'll give you $1000 for a Starwars VHS.
  8. Q: Is that you in the picture? Does the winning bidder get any additional pictures? Apr-10-08 A: I am not going to answer yes right now, but that is always in the realm of possibility.... Someone buy this and post the pictures if she sends you any. Not it!
  9. Yeah I don't like Morgan Webb either. She seems to have no clue what shes talking about.
  10. As long as you don't play in a RP type server you should be ok for the most part. While I don't think a 12 year old playing WoW is a good thing, if you're going to let her play a little have her stay far far far far away from the weirdos in the RP servers. Those guys jump on anything with a female model and its really easy to walk in on a very disturbing rp "sex" session if you decide to go into any of the inns. Really all the people who replace real life with WoW are all festering in the cess pool that is RP servers and those are the people you need to watch out for! Also remind her to never give out personal information and especially not her young age which would make her a target of ridicule kind of like when you play halo and everyone is making fun of the idiot 12 year old with the mic. With any luck she'll get bored of it (because all in all it gets pretty damn boring) and just find something else to play. For a fun little story about how shitty wow COULD get I have an awesome story (its not actually awesome) about a girl I know. In high school I knew a girl who became a pretty good friend of mine and for a while she dated one of my best friends. While she was going out with my friend she started playing WoW and quickly became addicted to it. She stopped hanging out with us and soon broke up with my friend after they had gone out for over a year because she had a "boyfriend" on WoW. She gained about 100 extra pounds and is pretty much an anti-social hermit now. She cant hold down a job because she never stops playing. She was going to go to college but thats off too. She recently went to her guild masters home (which is in California and were in Missouri) to try to start a relationship with him (it didnt work). Her life is pretty much ruined at this point all because of this game. So if you let your daughter play you should really be active in what shes doing in the game. Make sure she doesn't get into the darkside of the game. Also in WoW's defense, this kind of stuff happened to people who played EverQuest too so its all in how proactive you are.
  11. If you look at the sunday ads and a store has Wiis in the ad they have to have X amount of units at the store on sunday or its false advertising. Get up early on a sunday and you might get one. Other than that it seems to be dumb luck.
  12. I really like your first review and im looking forward to watching this one (which i will do in a few minutes) By the way the only good thing about the MM X pc port was that it came with a sweet Snes-ish controller that i used for years after for Roms.
  13. It would also be nice if they translated and released the ones they never released in the US for no reason.
