  1. i usually take guests down to the music room (AKA basement) and show them synthcart. Nothing beats the look on some of their faces when i hook an amp into the back of the atari and show them all the stuff it can do....yeah, nothing better than synthcart
  2. i havn't played intellivision in a while but i do recall the graphics being slightly better but only on certain games...so it really depends on what game you are playing. but seriously as long as the gameplay is fun, graphics really don't matter.
  3. i have a bally astrocade in the box with instruction booklet, 4 controllers and the game pinball (game is loose no instructions or box). the box is in pretty good condition except for bottom right corner which has split at the fold. i havn't played it in a while but if i remember correctly the only problems i had were the joystick/paddles were a little jittery (probably need a little cleaning) and the built in calculator dosn't work half the time..everything else is fine surprisingly, these machines are not built to last . let me know if you are interested. i would like to trade it off since i don't play it anymore
  4. honestly i think that right now we are at the farthest point the "nostalgia craze" is going to go. We have homebrew games, new merchandise and a cult like following for Atari going on (not to mention all the other Atari stuff going on lately)a bunch of it spawned from this site alone. Call me shortsited but I don't really see to much more happening with the whole vintage gaming "lifestyle" that has been placed together. In other words i don't ever see a company making 2600 (or any other vintage system) games and mass producing them to the point were we could pick them up at a major chain of stores, nor do i see the whole emulation scene doing away with collectors. So in my thoughts i think we are at the high point of the craze currently, however i don't see myself ever getting out of the whole Atari craze and i asume that goes for a whole ton of you people. So if you're in the "Atari cult" i hope you stick it out through thick and thin.....you know "for life" and all that jazz yeah i kinda went on a rant there......
  5. i agree, you should hear my dreamcast struggling to read a burned disk. it dosn't sound healthy, however dreamcasts are fairly cheap these days so i don't worry too much and have as much fun with it as possible.
  6. i've recieved a few carts off ebay in the bubble envelope and i almost prefer it over a box since it offers some cushioning to protect it from being dropped, stepped on, etc...you know, the stuff that happens to packages in the mail never noticed any popped bubbles inside the envelope either. so my suggestion is to not rule out the bubble envelope as an option but go with what you're more comfortable with sending to the buyer. (unhappy customer = bad)
  7. it's the huge thrift on W. Broad Street. on the south west side of columbus near Galloway. I believe it's a salvation army. if you need some better directions just e-mail me and i'll let you know......oh yeah, keep it top secret hush-hush IT'S MY THRIFT STORE!! MINE!!
  8. i'd say that the enhancement is noticible but really nothing that incredible , it dosn't exactly make snes quality graphics but it's still pretty cool. oh yeah and if anyone wants one i have one up for trade ....e-mail me if interested
  9. I have one aladdin deck enhancer with dizzy in great condition(it works too!). i'd mostly prefer a trade..if interested let me know.
  10. HAhaha. ..i don't know why but that picture is hilarious... >cough< ...yup
  11. yeah so i walked into the local thrift stop last week on my normal search for videogames and i found it right as i walked in...2 fullsize arcade machines pengo and donkey kong selling for $279.00 each. really great deal except that i had my glasses break (concert. don't ask) and my car fall apart a day or two before my little find. being broke sucks but the worst news was that both machines worked perfectly and that donkey kong was in near perfect condition.....can you feel my pain! all i left with was a good lookin' copy of eggomania (i didn't have it) which i paid $5.00 for (not too bad since i had never seen a copy of it floating around before..but dear christ this is a thrift store.) angry.....very angry
  12. yay! i havn't slept either....but since you seem far more excited about missing some Z's why don't you clean my room too?
  13. i've always thought that dig-dug was one of the weirdest games out there. come on now..you dig holes underground and find monsters, destroy them by dropping rocks on their heads or by over inflating them with your air hose until they explode (kinda morbid, yet funny) and then you get to collect fruits and veggies (how did they get underground?) to increase your score. weird weird weird
