  1. This is great to hear!!!! I don't have an RCA Studio II currently but it's one of my favorite systems! Glad to see it getting some attention. Looking forward to this.
  2. I got mine back with the backlit LCD screen and it's amazing! I really do feel like my Microvision has a new lease on life. I like how the graphics seem to pop with the LCD and for me being able to play the Microvision at night even in dim or no lighting has been a game changer. I definitely use my Microvision a lot more than I ever have since buying it. Also battery life seems to be great. This was definitely one of my favorite gaming purchases of 2020. Curious to hear what folks think when they get theirs. Thank you Richard, this is excellent work!
  3. Most welcome. Thanks to you I know what this game is, and it's very cool. I watched a YouTube video with some guys playing it, looks really fun and the voice does sound spooky. Oh wow the master reel, that's very cool! As a New Yorker, I appreciate the NYC ties in this story. Didn't know that's where Arista was based. 300,000 units wow that's quite a bit. Would've loved to have seen the inside of that cargo plane. USB turntables are great. I don't have one currently, just a bluetooth one but they come in handy for preserving these old records. Looking forward to taking a listen. Neat that you've archived them. Awesome seeing that receipt as well. Voice of the Mummy would make for a cool game night.
  4. I echo this, though my first purchase from Richard is the backlit LCD screen for the Microvision, however after seeing Richard's Voice of the Mummy page I'm getting interested in one of those too! The Voice of the Mummy looks so cool. What have you done? LOL But truly great work, and I appreciate your passion and professionalism when it comes to classic games. ?
  5. Hope you do feel better. You're in my thoughts.
  6. This is great to hear, the APF M1000 is one of those obscure systems I'd like to play.
  7. I'm looking for an RCA Studio II console with the switch box and power supply in working condition. I can either buy it or I have a few things I'm thinking of selling that I could trade instead: Microvision console with early screen rot but otherwise working with the box and 2 boxed games, loose Odyssey 1 console with 4 controllers - mostly works but the vertical line shows when it wants to and some of the controls are jittery, and a boxed Mattel Electronics Auto Race. Also have a Retro Tink I could part with since I've ended up not needing it.
  8. I'm in for 4 screens, 2 regular (non backlit) and 2 backlit. Also this thread inspired me to get a Microvision so I'm glad I can partake in the excitement. Cool little system, it's like my favorite new retro thing.
  9. Inspired by this thread, I bought a Microvision, hoping the screen works but I'll find out shortly. I hope a drop in solution can be achieved, I'm not handy with a solder, but I would like to show my new Microvision some love, so if this becomes a possibility in the future, hopefully someone can offer soldering or repair services.
